View Full Version : Most Playing Time
greeneyedpsyko 02-27-2008, 12:04 PM What game do you think You've put the most time into?
for the same type of game i would say Halo 1,2,3,
for one game though I gotta go with Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. I put at LEAST 7 or 8 days into that game. I did like everything i could do.
Meta666 02-27-2008, 12:13 PM I have 110 hours save file for FFX, but I put at least twice that much time since I replayed it like 5 times. For some reason I kept deleting the game every time I got more than halfway through. Oh I remember I thought I screwed up because I couldn't figure out how to get the legendary weapons and didn't want to check online.
animathias 02-27-2008, 12:19 PM Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. When the game came out, I played it for about 2 months but didn't get much done. Then, the summer after Shivering Isles came out, I made the decision to get 1250/1250 in it. I played it every day at least 3 hours for 2 months. Some play sessions went around 5 hours. I think my final clock was somewhere around 200 hours.
If it's not Oblivion, it's World of Warcraft. :D Both games money well spent.
mrpuggywuggy 02-27-2008, 01:17 PM I put a lot of time into the final fantasy games.
I cleared all the games maxing levels and collecting all the best weapons and summon monsters.
But one of the biggest amount of time was spent on the Triple Triad card game on FF8, i played that to death and it was just a mini game.
Biohazared20 02-27-2008, 01:25 PM Call of Duty 4 I know I put almost 100 into that game online and off
Rapahatsutt 02-27-2008, 01:30 PM halo 3. lots of hours into online, played the campaign through 4-5 times on varying difficulties.
Digitalistic 02-27-2008, 01:37 PM I have a save file for Chromehounds with 190 hours on it.
I've probably spent more time playing Counter-strike over the years, but I have no way of knowing.
MightyMutt 02-27-2008, 01:41 PM So far has to be Elder Scrolls IV - Obilivion. 250 hours before I got round to finishing the main quest and another 20+ hours after. To be fair though not all of this play time was me as my flatmates played as well.
I think by the time we finish with all the DLC and other play throughs I plan to have, that I will end up clocking up more time on Mass Effect.
Inthrax 02-27-2008, 01:58 PM Definatly halo 2 as we are in the xbox section but if we were not then WoW :D
Sinfulfate 02-27-2008, 02:20 PM Gears of War is my most played 360 game. I put 280 hours into Super Smash bros Melee and easily over 1000 hours into PSO Episode I&II for the gamecube.
Emophia 02-27-2008, 03:09 PM ZOIDS BATTLE LEGENDS!
Battle Field 1942
Team Fortress 2
Chexd 02-27-2008, 03:32 PM Sadly it must be World of Warcraft...I dont talk about my WOW days anymore.
solarmystic 02-27-2008, 05:22 PM Without a doubt, Final Fantasy X.
363 hours and 23 minutes; i just checked my savegame file. 50 hours for the main quest until just before the very end and I hopped off to do all the side quests, collect the ultimate weapons and armor, kill the Dark Aeons and Penance, completely modding my Sphere Grid to all +4 attributes and +200 HP/MP spheres... which involved a hell lot of Delete Spheres was where the added ~310 hours were spent.
After finishing this first game i got for my PS2, i never again spent this much time on a game until Oblivion came out 5 years later.
Jordan the hobo 02-27-2008, 06:26 PM For me its either halo 2 or 3 (I got h2 when the 360 came out cause i never had an original xbox) But Gears of war in a close second, and cod4 is slowly moving up the ladder. When I was a kid it was the first 2 Crash Bandicoot games. i played when to much when i was 6-7 yr's old
PopTrogdor 02-27-2008, 06:29 PM haha i think WoW character has like 150 days played on, which is 3600 hours apparently... lol, DING epic winzor?
Tarfire 02-27-2008, 08:18 PM For the 360 it's probably Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for me.
However, I used to play WoW and I put a lot of time into that.
Truth N Justice 02-27-2008, 08:25 PM probably Oblivion i have played thru it twice and each save is around 200 hours in game. I probably play to much COD4 cause im at like 11 days of game time
PopTrogdor 02-27-2008, 08:29 PM For the 360 it's probably Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for me.
However, I used to play WoW and I put a lot of time into that.
whatever anyone says, if you have a character in WoW and its level 60+ that will be the most time you will ever put in to a game. You will go back, look at /played and it will say like 90 days played which = 2160 hours. Even at 50 days it would be 1200 hours.
Meta666 02-27-2008, 11:33 PM ZOIDS BATTLE LEGENDS!
Battle Field 1942
Team Fortress 2
@Emophia There is a Zoids game? How the hell did I miss it? It's one of the games I want to make if I become a game developer. Others being original IPs of course. :p
@solarmystic Were the Dark Aeons only for the Japanese version? Because I'm pretty sure there are no Dark Aeons for the North American version.
SWSilentkiller 02-27-2008, 11:40 PM I've probably put alot of hours in to Super Smash bros. Melee, too lazy to check right now. I probably have a good deal of hours in Battlefield 2 as well.
The Beezs 02-28-2008, 12:33 AM I would probably say... I dunno.
I remember I was averaging 70+ hours with each play through on FFVII, four or five times completed.
CoD4 has me logging about 7 days and a half, and oddly enough burnout paradise already has me over 70 hours.
I probably have hundreds of hours put into Legend of Mana, not sure about other games. I do remember some old PS1 RPG/Tactics game where I kept my playstation on for about two weeks straight in order to complete the game (I didn't have a memory card at the time). E.] AHA! I remember it now, Vandal Hearts.
solarmystic 02-28-2008, 03:04 PM @solarmystic Were the Dark Aeons only for the Japanese version? Because I'm pretty sure there are no Dark Aeons for the North American version.
The Dark Aeons and Penance were only in the International version of the game which i imported and played on a JAP console... It came with selectable Jap/English text but complete English audio.
The first time i encountered the 1st Dark Aeon, Dark Velafor i was completely unaware of what i was facing and was completely annihilated in only 5-6 turns. It was then that i had to massively pump up my main 5 chars like mad to survive. I had to get past Dark Velafor to ironically get the final Overdrive for my own Velafore which was in the village of Besaid :p
It was unique coz you could actually choose between two types of Sphere Grid advancement, the original one where characters started from their own places, or the alternative one where all characters started at the CENTER of the Sphere Grid!
Ash1402 02-28-2008, 03:52 PM Gears of War on 360... I played the online so much... at least 4 hours a day for 5 month
Finch 02-28-2008, 04:25 PM Very easily WoW, I put at least 125 days played time into that game. About 85 or so days on one character alone. Way too much. Good thing buying a PS3 made me quit...
SpudRock3t 02-28-2008, 04:34 PM Unreal Tournament 2004
Played at least 3 hours a night for a year and a half, mainly online.
zbiggie 02-28-2008, 04:35 PM easily Fallout 2, i no doubt beat that game 15+ times, each time with at least 10-20 hours in it, except for the speed runs. so total would probably be 300+ hours, and now that I have gotten the restoration project mod (adding everthing that Black Isle did not have time to finish up themselves), I'll probably add another 2 or 3 run throughs.
I just can't figure out how to fly my a**, from Nevaro to Enclave
TheQwert 02-29-2008, 03:46 PM Quake 3 Arena, I still play it. I had more than 15k frags (easily 25k if I count all installations), more than 2k Impressives and Excellents each. :)
WoW comes in second. I'm glad I stopped.
Morrowind, Oblivion and GTA III,VC and SA for about same duration (~50-60hr). Currently it's TF2, about 40hrs.
Mallico 02-29-2008, 10:39 PM Sadly it must be World of Warcraft...I dont talk about my WOW days anymore.
Ha... you'd cry if you saw my FFXI playtime, it would make you feel better about yourself.
Mitch808 03-01-2008, 02:32 AM Contra 3
I played that game when i was younger to the point where i memorized eveything about it.
RAGNAROCK 03-02-2008, 09:31 PM the only games I had much time playing are tales of symphonia and tales of the abyss which both had more than 400 hours of gaming.Another was legend of the dragoon since it took me a heck of a long time to clear just for one boss and after I cleared it I started playing it againg and every time I got to more than half-way done to the game I started all over again.
ildreancipher 03-02-2008, 10:30 PM Definitely Garry's mod. I have over 70 hours in the past 2 weeks.
Meta666 03-02-2008, 11:44 PM Ha... you'd cry if you saw my FFXI playtime, it would make you feel better about yourself.

Mallico 03-03-2008, 02:39 AM Don't remind me about FFXI, you don't know how hard it was to get that game out of my head.
Haha sorry, I'm just glad I quit before WotG or I would have been sucked back in.

Dude!!! You're another LOD afficiendo? Kewl... I wasted 70-80 hours on that game.. and my cousin and i had the ultimate challenge set for ourselves... To get Dart, and the whole available crew at the time to Dragon Level 5 and max out their additions before Disc 2.. and i beat him to it!!! Wooot!!!!
I actually had Lavitz and Shana who were supossed to you-know-what reach D LV 5 and MAXED out all their Additions before they croaked/left ! How leet is that? Also the first one to reach DLV 5 in the party was surprisingly Shana!
50 Stardust anyone?
Meta666 03-03-2008, 08:51 PM Haha sorry, I'm just glad I quit before WotG or I would have been sucked back in.
Same, I quit FFXI twice. The first time after I quit I still kept thinking about the game, and now finally I don't care. But the worst part about all of this is that the moment I quit FFXI my friends started annoying me to join WoW. Bastards.
infernal 03-03-2008, 09:06 PM hmmm for an oldie game I could say Super Mario RPG on the SNES :P
if we're talking about stuff a bit more recent.. it's either Rainbow Six : Rogue Spear (first shooter played, amazing gameplay experiences for like.. a good couple years!) or Everquest 1 (first MMO.. and well.. it's an MMO).
Necro9 03-04-2008, 05:16 PM I clocked over 380 days on Everquest. I played for 4 years. So 1/4 of those years was spent on EQ. Talk about having no life. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I miss that game. :(
Meta666 03-04-2008, 05:19 PM I clocked over 380 days on Everquest. I played for 4 years. So 1/4 of those years was spent on EQ. Talk about having no life. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I miss that game. :(
If I put 380 days (9120 hours) into a MMO I'd probably wouldn't be able to quit. I must congratulate you on your amazing strength of will.

It was a pretty serious addiction. It took joining the military to get me away from it lol. People like to joke about video game addiction, but it can be dead serious, as I'm sure most of us know.
Spoofmaniac 03-04-2008, 06:02 PM Battletoads

RAGNAROCK 03-04-2008, 08:38 PM I had 100 hours on pokemon bluein one gameplay then I started playing from the begginig every two weeks thanks to the missigno virus,it erased my date every once in a while.

Paladin58 03-16-2008, 11:18 PM Somehow, on every Pokemon game I gt, I end up clocking around 200 hours on each. I had Yellow, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, and still have Diamond. If only I put that much into school... :undecided:
