I WISH It was MMOFPS, but SOE ruined PLanetSide and I have yet to find it's equal (I want a continuous world, dammit!)

Pretty much just shooters. Between FPS games and RPGs that covers about 95% of the games I play.

Yeah, everyone chose FPS including me, but I don't like FPSs if they don't have some elements of adventure.

I used to play mainly sports games, feeding the giant at EA. Tiger, Madden, NCAA Football, Baseball, and even Virtua Tennis (hit me up for some doubles sometime if you've got it). But once Rainbow Six Vegas came out the majority of my gaming has been FPS.

BTW you guys should check out MMOFPS. Its a relatively new genre and it has some intresting concepts. Imagine Battlefield, imagine only one-three servers then imagine 100 times the biggest map, and then imagine a consistance battle going on over strategic points. When i played my first MMOFPS(planetside 12 month trial) i immediately fell in love with it.Too bad Planetside died out when it went P2P. but when Huxley comes out, It may be even better than Planetside.

FPS for me. Although I have been playing Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion the most lately. Then again, I play that in first person mode.

Wow I am the only one who picked strategy. It is extremely rare that even one day passes without me playing an RTS...let alone a game in general.

I burn through shooters like candy...specifically because once the single player portion, if there is one, is over, mullti-player is only able to provide that "thrill" so many times before I find, personally, that it is just the same exact thing over and over.

I like building strategies, new tactics, battling other gamers over more than just a "bang, your dead" type of pace.

Not that I hate shooters. If anything BioShock, Crysis and COD4 have really proven to me how great they can be, even months later. But I would not trade in even one of my favorite RTS titles for any of them, I like RTS that much.

^ I play both, though I must be the only person who was not wowed by World in Conflict. Great game, just not my sort of strategy. CoH is one of the best, if not THE best, WWII RTS ever made.

I don't really have a favorite genre, it kinda cycles randomly through different ones that I'm in the mood for. Right now I'm in the mood for FPSs, a few weeks ago I was in the mood for RTSs, sometimes I'm in the mood for an RPG, sometimes I'm in the mood for an action adventure, sometimes I'm in the mood for an MMO, sometimes I'm in the mood for a music/rhythm game, sometimes I'm in the mood for a platformer, and sometimes I'm in the mood for Barbie Horse Adventure.

I miss Planetside. That was such an awesome game. I'm looking foward to Huxley. Anyone know when that's suppose to come out? I rarely hear about it.

FPS all the way.

RPGs all the way man.....

I am STILL on Oblivion as everytime i'm ready to hang my boots, someone on the community creates more great modded content to use and further improves the replayability of the game.

Sidekicks do include FPSes and Strategy games though....

Wanna make CoH our next PC gaming night game?:p On a second thought, i bet fewer than 5% of the PC gamers here actually have that game...:(

i picked FPS, only because thats what most people play, so you wish to play with people Unfortuantly you have to follow the crowd.

i really prefer things like Vehicle Simulation & Strategy, but it's hard to find people to play with in those Genre (unless you are a pc player but that is too much of a pain for me to get working).

My current example is Ace combat 6 on the 360, i enjoy it heaps, but have no friends who play it (i lie i have 1). I would love to do a seige or a co-op with a full squad, but they are all out playing COD4 & there are some who even ditch you in COD4 to go play Frontlines. which the masses will most likley move on to & if you wish to play with them you end up buying & the circle continues.

FPS even though I really like all game types. I think FPS has been dominating my game time lately because it's easy to get in a quick 20 minutes of gaming and I can come back and not have to think about where I left off. Plus it is the best multiplayer experience on the console.

favorite genres
1. FPS
2. RPG
3. RTS
i'm pretty sure most people agree with that order. was ther honestly any chance that FPS wasn't going 2 b take number 1?
