well I do agree on the Snes being #1 but as for the others...not much.

wow somebody is a nintendo fanboy, The top two would probably have to be either, atari or ps2, in my opinion. And I don't even like or own those two.

top 2 I will agree with... but aside from that... not really.

SNES: Library and a controller that STILL influences them today.... it earned that place.

It was hard to include the newer systems like 360, the reason the Wii, rather than the other next gen consoles, was that the Wii was such an innovation console, with such AMAZING games (anyone who has ever played Mario Galaxy can't deny just how fun it is) that it would be foolish to leave it off any list. The hardest system to leave off wasn't actually the 360, but the DS, another innovative system.

got that right.and also most of the best sellers for other consoles are shoters so is mostly the same with different storyline and weapons.

The reason why N64 is top spot is because of how fantastic it was when it came out, and how fun it still is to play now. The games are fantastic to play still, the graphics were very good, the gameplay and originality was brilliant, and the overall "fun-ness" of the console is a 10/10. It's a great console.

My list is a bit small, as I haven't had as many consoles as most other people:

1. PS2

Although there would probably be a tie between XBox 1 and PS1, only because those marked two very big steps in my gaming life. The PS1 was the first ever system I played games on, and the Xbox was the first console that I bought with my own money and is what got me interested in the whole community. Without XBox, I wouldn't be here, and without the PS1, I wouldn't have had an XBox.

I would throw in the DS somewhere around 5 instead of the GBA, but I have yet to pick one up and my only experiences were playing on my friends DS's at school or on the bus. But man, playing Advanced War multiplayer is pretty fun, even if I do get stomped every time.

I agree with the top 2 spots on the list but I think they should have had PS1 at #3 just because it was the first console to beat nintendo in total sales in a console generation and it began the Sony era of consoles, for the better or worse. Where is the Genesis, it should have at least been at #9 on list because without Sega's rivalry during the 90's we wouldn't have had the Playstation. The Wii shouldn't be on the list at all, neither should any of the other current generation consoles, it is still to early in the current generation of consoles to put one on a top ten list.

What about the Dreamcast or Sega Genesis?

the dreamcast failed in almost every way it was a good console tho but did nothing for the history of games

I started gaming on the PS1. I've never had an N64. I don't have a PS3. And from what I've seen, it surely isn't the greatest. My list is based off of consoles I HAVE OWNED.
