My computer is broken. Who know you could get the blue screen of death on Vista?

Everytime i turn it on, i get a message saying do i wish to run my computer normally or run startup repair program. Whichever i click i still end up with a blue screen telling me to reset or do something else i dont understand.

I've been so bored im forced to play 360. Help me before i resort to playing CoD on the 360!

:sad::sad::sad:

Yeah, see if there's a safe mode in which you can diagnose the problem. It's probably hardware incompatability. How long have you had Vista? When I first got it, I got BSoD all the time until I upgraded to faster hardware. It sucks power like crazy from your machine.

But yeah, try safe mode, (with Networking, if possible). Try disabling any new programs or drivers or check online at forums and help banks around the web.

Im not sure how i should go about disablign stuff, any help? :undecided:

You poor thing...ONLY 3.5 GB of RAM? I have TWO! Not running Vista, though, but for XP that's insane.

Spoke to Novatech about the problem, there advice was to try safemode. Thanks. :roll:

Did that, still crashes whenever i try to fix it (system restore etc)

Taking the computer back to them sometime soon so they can hopefully fix it.

4 Gigs + Vista or XP 32 bit + Nvidia drivers = Crash

I recently bought 2 more gigs of RAM and all hell broke loose. I've XP with 8800 GTS and the latest drivers. Blue screens, crashes, chaos. I installed Vista but even more crashes until I realized I didn't get the 64 bit version of Vista. Ultimately, I had to remove one stick of RAM and downgrade to 3 Gigs.

So, moral of the story...either switch to 64 bit version of the OS (XP or Vista) or downgrade to 3 GB.

I chose the latter for now, as I can use the spare 1 gig at my office desktop :)
