Up until now, Rise of a Ninja for the 360 was the best looking Naruto game, but this takes it to a whole new level. This is supposed to be in-game footage, and I swear it looks just like the show in HD.

Looks amazing, I just hope that it is a great game, cause lets face it most anime games aren't that great. I was hoping that Naruto Rise of a Ninja was going to be better than it actually was.

Rise of Ninja was a dissapoint for me because the combat sucked, everything else was fine, but the combat sucked.

So as long as the keep the (awesome ass) Narutimate Hero 3 style combat in this game, and add some Rise of Ninja like adventure elements, with those ridiculously good looking graphics, it's going to rock so hard it's not even funny.

Rise of Ninja was good besides the fighting, it just wasn't deep enough. The Ultimate Ninja series seems to have that down pat, I don't think this version will be much different.

It will probably get to the end of the first series(manga wise) because it had the original character designs. I can't see them using the characters/stories from the filler episode that take place before Shippuuden because most Naruto fans consider them to be non-canon.

Probably to wherever the US version is at the time. Too bad I finished watching that a loong time ago. I can't wait for the Shippuden games to start showing up.

I have the first one, quite good, but time skip Shikamaru and that Atsuki puppet dude (Sasori?) are the cheapest characters in the game.

The RPG element is wierd. Fun though. Shallow though.

One of the problems with missing out on the PS2 days - that's why when I buy a PS3, Backwards Compatability will be a must.

I always thought the Shippuden games were Japan only, though. But of course, I could be wrong. :grin:

I love the Narutimate games, honestly, when it comes to having fun playing a fighting game with friends, only brawl comes close.

I'm actually thankful. The summer is usually a dry period, and it seems like 2008 will be different, at least with games with alot of longevity coming out just before the summer months, and a couple good games hitting right inside of it. It's a good time to be a gamer.

Yeah, Burst Limit looks totally sweet. I missed out on the origial Budokai games (except the PSP versions).

So I can't wait to get it and compare it to Tenkaichi series (which I loved)

Like you, Emophia, I never got a chance to really play Budokai, but I played the crap out of Tenkaichi 1 and 2. As with the Ultimate Ninja series, it looks like these guys really have the gameplay locked down tight and are focusing on making the game look as good as possible, which is fine by me.

This game looks good. I really want a naruto rpg for next gen, or maybe an mmo style Naruto game. If thats done well it could create a huge amount of profit and potential for naruto, like the Pokemon games did for Pokemon.

The amazing part is the demo didn't turn me off to the game for one moment. Which happens - a lot - whenever I play a demo, I find myself not wanting to play the full game. This is definitely going to be a sweet title.

Yeah i know, i was playing it earlier andthe more you play it the more you seem to learn. Why not try Kakashi vs Kakashi, thats a hard one to do. Also i hope Gai's a playbale character.

I don't see why Tenten's in the game though she's a joke in the anime :angry: Oh and if Wikipedia's correct we get free roaming as well HURRAY! I loved the free roaming on Rise of a ninja and i hope that we get a smiliar one in this game (let's just hope the single player can last more than 4 hours :lol:)

I've also been checking out the box art, seems quite nice it isn't exactly the pinacle of all creative genious but as box arts go it's not half bad. Here's a picture of it:

Wiki and the official site also say it'll end on the saving Sasuke Arc. I for one am glad to see the game go further than the chunnin exams, i can't wait =D

I played the demo, and was like "meh". I really don't much care for fighting games, but even from my limited perspective, I could tell that it was an alright game. I guess not knowing the source material hurt the experience for me as well. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that its a fine game, but its just not my cup of tea.

Yeah, Jacob, I understand what you're saying. I'm a Naruto fan, so I'm definitely keen on the idea of having an HD fighting game featuring the series. The fighting is really good, and far from a let down from other anime -> videogame attempts.

I'm looking foreward to playing as Guy and Rock Lee. I mean come on, what could be better than putting a Chakra user into the ground? "My fist > Your Rasengan". As for TenTen, I think she'd be pretty cool. She has a very small part in the anime, and her main abilities are summoning and using weapons. Which could be really cool to see with the HD aspects of the game. Like when she leaps into the air in the anime with the summoning scroll around her, and you see all these weapons *poof* into the air around her. I think it'd be pretty sweet.

The truth is they could have gone further, at least to the itachi bit which would have been awesome. I think they should have definatly found a way to make the game longer, by saying you had to complete so many red missions before you could do any more blue or a system like that.
