Ok, so in the podcast Lono had a rant about Wii not being "NextGen". He then went on to define Next Gen as a console that has more graphic capabilities then the console before it. Well this is something that sorta killed his whole rant. And now it is time to go into my own rant.

Wii is more powerful then Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube. So why isnt he qualifying Wii as Next Gen. I mean he said it himself, HE DEFINED Wii, when he said " A NextGen console is a system that has more graphic capabilities then the console before it." Another thing is, he completely made up his own definition of Next Generation. Next Gen when refering to video game consoles means a sequal to the one before. Gamecube to Wii = NextGen. Oh and when he says "The controls are just a gimmick" Thats b/s. I like this site, but when I hear something like this it just makes me wanna hate everything associated with the person that said it. Prime 3 has been noted to have the absolute best controls of any console for a FPS game. People who are NOT wii fanobys have said that after getting into this game, they dreaded going back to dual analog. This shows that Wii Controls are not a gimmick when used correctly. Also, this proves that Wii is NextGen once more. They were able to make a game with controls that were not possible last gen. Making the controls and console nextgen. And before I end this rant of mine, I would like you to know, and beleive I am not a Wii fanboy. I own Wii and 360 and love both, and I love PS3. They each have their own unique traits. This site either needs to get some Wii Influence on the staff team or just stop altogether talking about the Wii.

First off, I've listed to the podcast since episode 4, and I have to say I love it. It's genuinely funny, and one of just two podcasts I subscribe to (Diggnation being the other).

Also, I agree with Lono, the peanut butter granola bars are by far the best ones. The oats and honey ones are decent, but the peanut butter ones just kick ass and take names. They're like an orgasm in my mouth every bite.

Im gonna agree with Lono over how much merchandise is trying to completely overhype Halo 3. When is too much... too much? Next thing you will hear is a china set limited edition with Halo 3 cast characters all over it and regardless of what the product is, there will be brain dead people willing to pay $$$ for it.

They gotta cut back, I think they are trying way too hard with all this extra crap. Also when you think about it in a couple of years nobody is gonna care much for Halo, and you will eventually see all this Halo merchandise on ebay.

Yeah, because your one of the few people who understand graphics dont really matter. Its all about the gameplay. Good graphics dont hurt, but gameplay is want the game is all about. Take Gran Tursimo 5 for example. That game has the best graphics ever, but its still gonna suck, because of the gameplay mechanics. Everyone knows that NFS is has better feeling controls. So GT(awesome graphics) vs NFS(Mediocre Graphics) NFS would win, because of gameplay.

there isnt many. the only one i can think of will be beautiful katamari which i think looks highly addictive.

Maybe you sure try out Metriod, or look up some info on Medal of Honor Heroes 2. Or hey play some Zelda or Madden. Maybe then you will learn you dont need graphics for a good game. Hey guys I signed up a while ago when you did the first pod cast but never bothered to post:(… Anyway just want to say I have listened to all your pod casts and found them all very enjoyable to listen to, they have had me in chuckling to my self:)

There was some info in there that was a bit wrong.. mainly the Gamestop info about the ways they rip u off. Yes im a ripoffstop employee (gamestop). I do it for fun and the benefits!!

So here is the truth, The only time opened games are sold as new is when the case is opened to go out on the shelf and the disk is stored behind the counter... OR when an employee checks a game out hehehe. I try to check out the used version of the game so i dont open a new game. All traded in games are sold as preowned regardless of how new it looks.

Gamestop and EBgames are now the same company, Gamestop bought out ebgames around 3 years ago. There all gamestop now, the stores that still say ebgames just havent got around to getting the new signs and so on but operate under gamestop guidlines.... Yes tradein values are crap!! I get ripped off to just like all of u! But i work there 3 hours a week for the discount and ability to check out games!

Any questions or rumors about ripstop feel free to throw them my way, i wont try to hide anything or lie, i could care less!

Pretty much same kinda store except different name... I used to live in newmarket for the last 6 years and come to think of it gamestation does resemble gamestop alot.. same methods of preordering and doing buisness, even down to store design..

I was looking at same magazines at the store today and saw the Frag Dolls cover on PCXL and flipped through it... I recognized the girl on the cover from being at PAX... if I'm not mistaken, she was the Ubisoft person that attended the Blogs and Pocasting session where GamerCast Network's own Godfree from GamerTag Radio representing us.

It's painfully clear that a LOT of make-up and retouching goes on with magazine covers... not to disrespect her, she was cute and all... but she did not look like that cover pic.

Anyway, Dave... there was a section on Calyber in the mag, so if you don't already have it... go check it out.

I gotta ask, what's with ripping on the corporations? I mean, while it stinks that you got done over by Gamestop, that isn't something thats ubiquitous. As for Best Buy, I've been done over by them myself, so I prefer not to shop there, but I always have positive experiences at my local Gamestop. In fact, I found the advantage of preordering when Bioshock came out. I didn't reserve it, and almost didn't get to buy it because they were almost sold out. On the other hand, I've always got what I preordered, with no problems at all. As for preordering as a way to make money: So what? A corporation exists to make money. The preorders don't hurt the customer, and in fact wouldn't exist without customer impatience. So what if they make money on them? You're garunteed a game/console when it comes out, and they get money. Everyone wins.

Well I did kill her quite a few times on Sarcastic Gaming night when we played RB6. She's killer at sniping. One of her bullets when straight through my heart.

Drew is not on any podcast that we know of. Doc, Dave and Drew are all still friends. Drew just wasn't as interested in doing the podcast as the rest of us. They still see him everyday at work and whatever. It wasn't acrimonious at all. I wish him the best.
