For all you RPG Nuts out there I am sure you didn't miss this gem when it came out for the Playstation back in 99. The game didn't really appear on selves and was really hard to track down (I randomly found one a week after launch in a game store that has since become a clothes store) I loved it to bits cuase it was my first ever proper RPG (Not sure if Shining Force I for the Mega drive counts) Sadly my sister was young and with a Salior Moon Obession... destroyed disc 4 before I could complete the game (I got to the part where Kongol had to fight his brother) did anyone else get it and if so how did you feel about it?

I still play that game, probably one of my favorite RPGs of all time, the whole game was just good with the combo system and the story which I really liked. The final boss was crazy you had to fight him like 4 times. Even the cutscenes in that game were awesome. I still hope they make a remake because that game with next gen graphics well, the disc would litteraly be made of pure win.

I have tried to pick this up time and again, but I always seem to stall myself at the end of disc 2, I believe. I still have the PS1 game discs, so I may see if I can iso-rip it to my PSP when I am done with Crisis Core.

Oh I have very fond memories of playing this game so many years ago. It was an instant favorite of mine and I consider it to be a classic.

I loved this game, one of my favorite RPGs and it was my first one.I actually beat it only 2 times, the first time which took me like 2 years(got stuck fighting Lenus on disc 2)and last year after I found a ps1 memory card.

But to bad for you,not being able to beat such a great game.

i've tried to play it multiple times, but always get sucked in to a new game that comes out... i still have the PS1 discs, so i'm sure i'll get around to it sooner or later.

I borrowed my buddies ps1 with this game, played it for a week strait and beat it. It was an amazing game, but I remember my buddy being pissed since I deleted his game to be able to save mine. His mem stick was just full. Either way I did blame my sister and told him she deleted the game for something else he believed me, either way Great game If I get a ps2 I will look for it again.

Am I the only one who found it incredibly slow? Sure the battle system was fun but outside of battle it dragged on and on. Still finished it though.

No not really, never found it to slow. The only thing that annoyed me was finding those diamond things. I just gave up on that, I don't even remember what they are supposed to be for

what?the stardust?you give them to a woman that appears all over the game, she lives in the island that Haschel came from,my guess is that if you get them all you get a super sweet item, but I could never find them all:(

I am now hell bent on reviving this forgotten classic for multiple reason
1: It proabably would give me a reason to buy a PS3
2: It was a great game nuff said
3: It would be cheaper for me
4: the demand is there

I only had a couple of annoying moments and those where the sneeking sections on disc 2 and 4 they drove me mad

as for that optional boss fight i think i vaguly remember fighting that one... I never did beat those dragons on disc 4

A friend of mine started playing this game recently, she says it's really good, I wish I could play it legally (to lazy for ROMs and Emulators)

well unless you used a guide, I would think you have to much free time to find all that dust, but still would have been nice to finish it 100%

I love that game but to bad the white Dragoon was useless why can she not do additions? they are a fundamental part of the battle system! In my opinion the best team is Dart, Rose, and Haschel because Rose can heal and deal out damage, Haschel is a good fighter that can take a few hits and Dart is well... Dart.

Rose can heal
ROSE COULD HEAL?! I honestly don't remember that one in fact that was the one thing legend of Dragon was void of and that was healers, Potions where on high demand at all times

I played and beat that game when it came out. I think it was crappy until the last few hours but I liked it going towards the end.

I bought this game the day it came out after anxiously awaiting it's release for months. It was to be the first RPG I got to buy on day one.

I returned it on day two, completely and utterly disappointed.

I bought it again a few years later (it wasn't hard to find at all), and appreciate it now as an excellent game, but at the time it simply required way too much effort to play (the combo battle system) and I went on to prefer other RPGs which allowed me to play for 30 hours straight without constantly having to focus on my timing. I played a lot of Shadow Madness and Star Ocean: The Second Story during this time.

Now that I can't free up 30 hours for a single gaming session, I don't have to worry about losing my timing as I get tired, and I can enjoy this game as it was intended.

Well I recently reaquired the game again (£52 on amazon.co.uk was the cheapest i could get) and the nostaliga and eveything about it just came flodding back to me... I think I have got better at additions too seeing as I can now use crush dance instead of Volcano like i used to
