View Full Version : Bioshock problems
DeathRightz 09-06-2007, 09:12 AM well i was just reading a new post by AJ, and it sounds like 2k might have gotten a little bit in over their heads with bioshock. This patch sounds like it was really tweaking SempraFi's 360. anyone have any idea if the “rumored” upcoming DLC for bioshock is even real or just gamer wants. and if so how do we know it wont suck like this new patch?
CharlieBlix 09-06-2007, 09:28 AM What patch? I'm lost. Source what you're talking about please.
Spudnik 09-06-2007, 10:07 AM A new patch has been released over Xbox live which has cause more problems then it solved. I for one am not downloading it and I advise others to do so.
CharlieBlix 09-06-2007, 10:33 AM oh.. well I did download it and it fixed my problem with frame freezing. before this patch came out I had to stop playing the game because it would freeze up so much.. I havent had any problems since downloading it.. what have you guys had problems with?
Lono_Lives 09-06-2007, 11:06 AM I downloaded it last night. didn't notice any problems.
DeathRightz 09-06-2007, 07:26 PM check the recent posts on Achievement Junkie and they talked about how 2k just released a new patch for bioshock. currently my bioshock disk is sitting on my shelf unplayed cause about 3 days before it came out my 360 had a video card failure. but my friend was asking me about it wondering if he should download the patch or forget about it. he has yet to have any problems with his copy and is playing it through for the second time. so idk i just wanted to hear from some other ppl that have gotten the patch to see if its been helping or hurting the game/system
I downloaded and applied the patch without any issues at all... I don't think that the patch is necessarily bad, there has to be some other variable causing the issue(s)...
V3NOM 09-07-2007, 07:04 AM oh.. well I did download it and it fixed my problem with frame freezing. before this patch came out I had to stop playing the game because it would freeze up so much.. I havent had any problems since downloading it.. what have you guys had problems with?
It was the exact same for me, and the patch fixed the freezing up for me as well. I thought that my disk was messed up or something, so I'm glad I don't have to take it back and get a new copy.
TheSmokingManX 09-07-2007, 02:06 PM I've had a lot of people complaining to me about it, which is why I haven't booted the game in a few days. Luckily I've already finished it, and this is forcing me to play something else.
keith22 09-07-2007, 03:27 PM What does it fix mainly?
CharlieBlix 09-07-2007, 04:17 PM "Update improves stability when loading autosaves and overall game stability, corrects audio during title menu loading, and addresses AI behaviors regarding use of health stations."
Thats from 2K
So yeah, not much in terms of big things.. but I was having a problem with my game freezing up and this fixed it... so it was a big freaking deal to me.
Shane86 09-07-2007, 05:33 PM When i kill enemies, sometimes the objects they drop float in mid-air
TheSmokingManX 09-08-2007, 08:39 AM Strange, I never ran into problems with things floating in the air. My only problem was a Big Daddy got stuck once, and I had to do some fancy maneuverin' to get him out.
Night Phyre 09-09-2007, 05:07 AM I haven't had any problems with the game, pre or post-patch. Methinks it's some other factor.
Played though BioShock with the patch on my second run and didn't had any issues at all with or without it.
CaptainDDL 09-10-2007, 09:45 AM I tried turning on subtitles, but they never seemed to coincide with the audio.
Bluez Maverick 09-13-2007, 07:36 AM Same here, played it through without the patch no issues.
Got the patch and I'm back tracking for some of the achievments and no problems.
CaptainDDL 09-13-2007, 01:05 PM I've started to experience some freezing. It's annoying.
