Can someone PLEASE explain to me why consoles attract such a crusader like fury?

I bought my PS3 myself... from selling my Wii and my chunky iPod.
But I did pay for the Wii myself... :lol:

I bought my 360 with my crack dealing money.
with the money i had over I also bought a few hookers.
(to play the 360 w/me)

so I bought a PC that lasts 1/4 th as long as consoles and you don't see me flaming (because we all know that PC's are FTW)

yup... we bought our consoles ourselves (many off minimum wage), really like them, and hate it when people bash our decision to buy them... so yeah

It's when people spend loads of cash on a system they think is great. Why would they not defend it? No way they paid so much for something that will turn out to be a piece of crap in the eyes of others. Now have someone from another console thinking the same and BAM they clash, and well flame wars start. A pretty good analogy was made by Yahtzee on this in his review of No More Heroes. Had something to do with a Bar BQ. Look it up as I'm too lazy to do so.
