In Game Informer's June issue, there's an article about Guitar Hero 4. Inside is a bit about the track recording and it says:

You can craft your songs by recording live playing (with a little help from the game, which automatically "quanitizes" or corrects offbeat notes to quarter, 8th, or 16th notes, and so on)...

What do you take that to mean? Does live playing mean on guitar controller? A real guitar? A midi keyboard?

Any ideas?

Just jam on the guitar controler. and it automaticly puts it down. And from an earlier screen I saw there appears to be a step somewhere for you to also tune each note before hand/during (for pitch and sound.)

How intuitive do you think the program will be? Can you just jam, and the it will make it into a good track, or will you have to actually plan out what you're going to play?

I think you can do what ever you want. It would not be customizing if you couldn't. I mean if you want a really good song or a way to pirate songs from rockband then yeah your going to half to put a little thinking into it.
