The Dodgers defeated the Angels despite having ZERO hits throughout the entire game. Now, officially, it doesn't count as a no-hitter because the Angels only pitched in 8 innings since they were the road team.

That's really weird. Either someone was pitching really well, or no one could hit the ball.

Weird.
I didn't know that was possible, but now that I think about it it seems pretty obvious that that could happen.

I'm pretty sure that they hit the ball with the bat. That's like...impossible to go an ENTIRE game without even HITTING a ball. I'm guessing "no-hitter" means no runs at all, since the article said they won due to an error 1-0.

No-hitter just means no hits which means no hits that lead to getting on base. You can hit the ball and be thrown out or whatever and it doesn't count as a hit. It takes some odd circumstances for something like this to happen. So odd that the last time this happened was 16 years ago.
