Is there any particular reason "Joy to the world" is playing in the background? At least towards the end, for the last 10 minutes. That's when I started noticing it.

So I just listened to the special. For me it was a cool mental re-visit in my brain to the storyline and characters that I had started to forget about (with MGS4 taking up all the space).

Lono: YOU DO-GOODER. Gay people like that actually exist. (To be honest I have no idea if they really do, I was chuckling too much to get 'offended' in the slightest. OH MY GOD.)

And YES. I killed Darko. Was I into and moving along with the story? YES. Its just, when Im in games Im a monster. Screw evolving character plotlines! BANG BANG BABY.

Although Im going to be honest here; I did not care one bit that you didnt mention anything about Multiplayer; as I had the PS3 version. Which is terrible.

All in all great job guys, looking forward to more EPIC-GAME-WORTHY-OF-SPECIAL podcasts!

Well, here's my rundown:

I killed Ivan and instantly regretted it. I hated that guy from the bar as well, but I figured he'd give me more work if I killed Ivan. Go figure.

I let Dwayne's girlfriend live, but I didn't get any missions from her as you mentioned in the pod. I'm guessing that's because I threw Ivan of the roof.

Of course I shot Francis, he just had it coming. But I was sorry to see the McGreary (spelling?) story end so suddenly.

I let Darko live, deciding it would be better for him to suffer and partly because i knew Kate would approve.

Finally I greased Dmitri instead of making the deal.

All in all; very good game. Not a 10, not perfect, but very enjoyable. The major weakpoint would be the story. The plots were better in both GTA:SA, GTA:VC and GTA3. It was simply to fragmented to capture my attention in GTA IV.

now i can agree with lono about kate she is an unnecessary character, but i think and you mentioned it that what rock-star did they gave you choice that changes the game in a few deferent places which is actually guineas and im actually playing the second time now only because i wanted play boys apartment.

Well I now know I would be a bad person to appear on the podcast because I did the opposite of what you guys did...

I let Ivan live, but that didn't matter because he turns up as a random ped with a 5 minute mission...

I let Dwayne's girlfriend live, then ran into her at Burger Shot and I think I killed her abusive boyfriend...

Heres where it gets different...

I let Francis live, because I read (and confirmed) that if you let him live you can call him to remove your wanted level... After you finish game he is no longer a contact.

I was going to let Darko live and as I was walking away, he ran off into the distance and I pulled off the longest sniper rifle kill in the history of GTA... It was rather graphic...

I worked with Dimitri and if I recall correctly, he has you go to a warehouse and then he calls off the deal making ALL of the people there hostile... I forget how Roman died but then you chase Dimitri in a heli and you pop him on the Statue of Happiness island place...

And o yeah, I killed playboy and got his cool house :)

I got to 99.5% game completion when I brought it over to my cousins house and his 360 gave me a BSOD... Big Scratch Of Doom.... made that up...

Anyway, now I can't finish and all I had to do was kill the rest of the flying rats and take packie out...

What was Francis' super friend power?

Since he is a crooked cop you could call him to have your wanted level removed... whos Kiki? Did you go on a date with her? I only dated Kate and the first girl that was a cop...

Just heard of Carmen on the podcast, is Kiki another girl?

Kiki is one of the people you can meet on the dating site. She's like the lawlady or something like that.

Carmen would heal you if your life bar was really low, but if you had say 80% health, she would blow you off.

I would have to say while the game was entertaining I wasn't that big of a fan. I know I might get yelled at or something but in my opinion I think the graphics were sub-par for a next gen game (I think that it looks like just about all the other GTAs). The gameplay wasn't at all different from the other games either. I was really hoping that this was going to be the one where the re-invented the game adding new game play elements and overall a new experience. But it just made me feel like I was playing all the other GTAs but with different characters.

I personally enjoyed Vice City more then this one (Vice City being my favorite one for some reason).

Francis and Kiki's powers are both the same they both take max of 3 stars and with Kiki you can only use it 3 times before you have to go on a date with her

Killed Playboy.

Killed both the guy and his girlfriend (can't remember their names).

Killed Frances.

I had a totally interesting experience killing Darko. I waited for all the of the dialog to finish, made the decision not to kill him. I let him start running off and let Roman start talking about how I made the right decision, then out of curiosity as to whether it would count now that Roman's speech had begun, I chased Darko down and gunned him down while he was running and it actually DID count against me as a kill.

I felt bad afterwards though because I didn't think it would end up counting. lol

By the way this is my first post on the forums. I've been listening to the show for about five months now and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Keep up the good work gents!

I do agree that GTA4 is one of the better games I've played (considering the fact I stole my cousins 360 and kept it for 2 weeks to play it..... he wasn't so happy when he found out).

I did too, so I lucked out picking to kill Dimitri. You can't beat free cabs around the whole city, and that girl never even put out! Jk

I also thought Bernie was a good comic relief for the game...He was terribly stereotyped, but it would not have been funny otherwise

Yeah I listened to this before I rented the game and was completely lost, now I am almost finished and will re-listen...

I guess I won't get to do the helicopter thing though, because I chose revenge rather than the deal... :( I'D BE DONE NOW IF I HAD CHOSEN DEAL!!!... which sucks... but yeah, what's funny is I was litereally 3 feet away from the "deal" arrow when I decided to turn around and take a taxi to the "revenge" arrow becuase I thought "he's just gonna turn on me anyways so I might as well just kill him..." but I looked at a walkthrough and found he dies either way lol!

Wow, I finished and that officially is the first time I have completed all of the story missions of a GTA game... 100% is probably not going to happen because Gamefly wants their game back since this was only a 15 day trial... but I clocked like 40 hours into that sucker... thanks Rockstar for occupying 40hours of my life I enjoyed it! :thumbsup: Now time to go re listen to the podcast...

My Choices:

Saved Ivan (I hated Vlad from the beginning so yeah...)
Saved Dwanye's Girlfriend (I didn't think he wanted her dead so I didn't)
Killed Playboy X (This is contradictory to the next decision, but I killed Playboy because really the guy was kind of annoying, Dwanye was pretty fricken sweet... Not a bad bowler either...)
Killed Derrick (I was thinking about how miserable he sounded and just figured he was better off dead...)
Killed Darko (He betrayed multiple people, killing him is revengeful, letting him live would potentially be worse however if he is lying just to stay alive then I'd rather have killed him...)
Revenge Killed Demetri (Already explained...)
Killed Pegorino (that was fun yet slightly annoying)

Up until Pegorino I had a balance of $250k (from the bank robbery) becuase I was earning as much as I was spending then when pegorino's mission came I got impatient and just used RPG's throughout the majority of the mission.

So yeah...
