That was a strong statement you said which was " Diablo III is just Diablo II with prettier graphics " but shortly after you say you never played any of the Diablo predecessors. That is poor judgment as any game is much more than graphics. As in " most " games, Diablo offers a solid storyline & lore that has become well known among PC gamers. Diablo is a franchise that has a lot of depth. This is probably why Victorsxl came at you with the " do your research " response in one of his post. I wouldn't have put it in the words that he did but it would of definitly helped if you would of played Diablo & Diablo II before coming with the comment that you did. Would of helped your opinion more =). Besides that little issue, it was a good podcast :).

Now, can all of you Diablo fanboys calm the eff down. Just because I haven't played it, doesn't mean I can't comment on it. It's my opinion and until I actually play it, that's not going to change.

I sort of agree with Victor here. I also have not played any of the Diablo games, but I don't think it is really fair to judge any game if you haven't played it.

Honestly dude, you're unbelieveable. First, that "quote" that you attributed to me was never said by me. I said on the podcast that I was indifferent about it at this point but would definitely play it when it comes out and if my computer could run it.

Many people on this forum seem to reject anything in D3 that is different from D2. So it seems a lot of people in this vocal minority want D3 to be a "new D2", whatever that means. I think it is safe to say that this won't be the case though. After this many years, a lot of the developers (who are not the same people that made D2) have learned a LOT, and would certainly not spend multiple years on a game where the only really new things are the graphics and plot.

I reckon this shouldn't be much a concern to people.



It seems pretty common amongst critics to critique the choice of Blizzard to stay true to the game mechanics of their game series. Strangely they want a game belonging to a series to be disconnected from the previous games in terms of gameplay mechanics. I just don't see how it'd be a sequel if such a choice was made. I'm overjoyed that they chose to keep the D3 perspective as it should be. Aside from that I think they've changed an enormous amount of things, but I guess you have to be an actual gamer to really appreciate that.
