For those of you still playing Halo 3 the new map Cold Storage will be available for free on 7/7 in celebration of Bungie day. There will be a 48-hour long seven-player FFA playlist for this map. The Legendary Map Pack will also be knocked down from 800 points to 600 points but will not include Bungie Pro subscriptions. Additionally there will be free gamerpics and themes available only on 7/7.

Some of the stuff you can do on forge is really fun. I bought it when it came out, because I had money spare on my account from COD4 I think, and it kept me entertained for an evening. I hope this map will be just as good.

If it's something to do with the 7/7 bombings in the UK, that makes it messed up, it doesnt really offend me that bungie still 'goes on' with their business. People have come to terms with the losses, and the world will go on. Although it is a sad day for all involved.

I hope that this is gonna be a good map. I switched from CoD4 to Halo 3 few weeks ago, but will probably switch back if the new level is not good.

Its only the themes that are one day only. You can pick up the map for no cost anytime after 7/7.

Looks cool. However, I'm a Forge guy, so I want a Forge map. A good forge map. With every single item/weapon/vehicle. And have it be outdoors.

I just downloaded the map but I don't really like it. It's too comfusing to me, there are so many levels and its kind of bright.

Yeah there are a few of them that have levels but this one really annoys me because its not directly on top, they have all these ramps and things.

^I agree. I like going stealth on people, and going around a corner, crouching, and assassinating my persuer. This strategy is almost userped with the radar-screwing levels. However, I haven't played the map yet, so I'm not one to judge.

Yeah, but the FFA with 7 people is almost too much. I don't think anyone lasts longer than a minutes unless they avoid combat or get invisibility and run away. It's small and wtf is up with only one obscure BR?

There are enough corners in CS that the sniper is a little tough to use, as for stand off I played a round with my friends on a 1v4 match I had the sniper and they never made it to the laser spawn or any of their vehicals. The sniper rifle on SO is just too much I think.

The map isn't all that great anyway. But if you have halo3 you should pick it up.

It;s worth the download but it's nothing special. I was expecting some huge map with cool vehicles and stuff but no luck. Who knows, maybe they'll bring something good out next year...

They need a huge map, like 5 times the size of Avalanche, with all vehicles, capabilities of up to atleast 32 players, and major battle systems.

What would really be neat is using large, multi-player vehicles like the Scarab or Pelican. Although the Scarab is directally unmanned....

Don't worry, it ain't happenin. Two of the maps are Space Camp, an empty space platform designed for CTF and assault, and Purple Reign, a medium-long ranged gun battle that is either outside or inside a covenant ship.
