You have the chance to "Enlist" look at some pamphlets, and call your Enlistment Office (866-931-9417). Onced called, you get this (http://boomp3.com/listen/byossrwwb_l/get-a-war-job-phone-message). After some more searching, the members of NeoGaf found in a picture in Gamepro with "FOLLOW THE MAP" in Morse Code. The map they found had a bunch of squares with dots in some of them. Once on this website you see a video shot in a POV of a person on a stretcher being rushed through an hospital. (Video can now be found here (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/35978.html).) I cant really explain much more (Other then that is Katee Sackhoff as the doctor) so just watch the video. At the end though theres a bunch of dots and dashes which is mores code for....

This has an picture (http://fallofman.wikibruce.com/images/f/f4/Table_July3.jpg)of seven soliders poses for an picture infront of an building. The picture can be moved around the screen which shows the wooden, tabletop its on. It is noted that this picture is very similar/identical to the one Hale is seen looking at in the first cutscene in R:FOM. It also appears that Hale is one of the men in the picture.

July 8, 2008 - First Update
(Nov 3, 1950 I.G.)

Project Abraham- Today, this video (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/35978.html) appeared on ProjectAbraham.com. It showed the female doctor from the last video talking to another doctor (also from the last video) about the patient in the video #1. They speak about how her actions "threaten the experiment" and that the "situation in Europe is worse then they are letting on" in which she replies with the Flu. (It seems more likely that they are speaking about the Chimera Virus) The video ends with doors being slammed while the female doctor runs to get armed help.

Blackout- (Letter Here (http://fallofman.wikibruce.com/images/4/4a/BlackoutLetter.jpg)) This is the first time we see names and get a confirmed date of the game. It is Novemeber 3, 1950 (One year before the events of R:FOM) and the female doctor in the 2 videos is named Dr. Cassie Aklin, PhD (A Psycholigist) . The letter is from a Colonel Grant Thompson in which he states the no matter what happend to the man in the first video that Project Abraham must go on and the 6 other men are up for testing. He also stresses the point that P.A. is to be kept of the lowdown.

This is with Cassie standing over the (still alive) body of the man in the first video when Col. Thompson walks over to here and states that she must choose the next canidate for the testing in which she strongly states she can't. When ordered to the video ends with Cassie saying "I can't do this alone."

The site now severs as a gateway to the main Project Abraham site (Which will be called Main P.A. in these notes). The other new thing is a video of Cassie talking into a camera asking the people of the internet to basically do her job at picking the next canidates. On the site there are new links to all the men's dossiers, Cassie's Inbox, Videos, (Such as the videos from the first site, and the * name's intro videos) Hale's Solider's picture, and voting for the soliders to be next. The names with * are the ones that are up first.

GetAWarJob.com- The site only gets updated with a new phaplet that states people in the US are fighting the Government by spreading lies. They are named as "Alliance for American Autonomy" (Which will be called AAA from now on). On of the things in the phaplet about them is that their moto is "America First, America Only". With some clever searching we get the next site.

AmericaFirstAmericaOnly.com (http://www.americafirstamericaonly.com/#) (AKA, AFAO.com)- This is the home site for AAA. They are basically the tin foil hat wearin, conspiry theroist, people that are told are crazy except they are actually right. It's shown that the Gov't is indeed hiding the Chimera from the public and are covering it as the flu. July 25, 2008 - First Subject Chosen
(Nov 10, 1950 I.G.)

Main P.A. - The voting ends with Sgt Brown being our first subject chosen by us. An "Psych OFC. Survey" video (See video here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oQ9CgBcumM&feature=user)) is added to his dossier. This consists of Cassie telling Brown that he'll be next which he takes very bravely. He talks about the "horrors" he has seen when he fought in which Cassie replies "It's not the flu, is it?". This proves that even one of the head doctors in P.A. is still under the "flu" lie.

New to the site is reel to reel recordings. July 29, 2008 - Project Abraham Claims it's first Victim
(Nov 14, 1950 I.G.)

Main P.A. - The video of Sgt. Brown's injection is added to the site. (Video Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UffPxETqTug).) It's starts with the injection and shortly after Brown complain of dizziness. Then his eyes start to cry redish yellow liquid and then he starts to mildly vomit the same color mixture. The vomiting gets more extreme as Channing is hurled over the table vomiting the mixture and what appears to be his own organs while the doctor screams for help. It ends with a shot of Brown's lifeless body laying on the table. His spot on the voting ballot is replaced by Gennaro along with his intro video. It is told in the files 2 and 4 about Brown's reasons to join PA. When he was 12, he accidently shot his brother (9), killing him. He lied by saying his brother accidently shot himself. It has haunted him since then. He joined to "have new nightmares replace the old ones" and to save his mother since he "couldn't save Closton". He didn't want to be a hero, he wanted redemption.

August 1, 2008 - Second Vote is Over
(Nov 17, 1950 I.G.)

Main P.A. - With the second vote over, Oster is picked. He confronts Cassie as seen in this video. (Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCut0nliH3E&feature=user)) He tells how he can really trust Cassie and says how she is "an angle" in this place of death. He then molest kisses her which she quickly shoots down. Angered, he walks away after saying "I can't get through this alone."

August 5, 2007 - "Inconclusive Results"
(Nov 21, 1950 I.G.)

Main P.A. - The latest injection video is added. (Video here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0P6kSgEp2k&feature=user)) It shows Oster sitting of the subject chair upright in with a deep stare into space. Once they go to strap him down he yells "GET AWAY FROM ME!". The orderly tries to calm him down by telling him they can "just walk away" which Oster ignores. Suddenly, he grabs the Chimera Virus needle and runs to a defensive stand near the wall. The orderly and doctor get back as the guard pulls out his sidearm. Oster doesn't move which causes the solider to dischage his weapon hitting Oster in the left hand side of his forehead. Brain matter spatters on the wall and Oster drops the the ground dead.

Because of the failed experiment, Khaner is added to the poll. His dossier along with Capelli, Danby, Gennaro, and Hale's are updated.

Hello, this is Cassie from Project Abraham. It's been three weeks since we first injected. Every time I think it's going to be easier, but it's not because every week I have more images in my head - terrible things I can't keep down of what happened to those men in that lab - the sound, the stories, the body.. it's, it's inhuman. I thought maybe I could do it this week, maybe I could choose, and let you go back to your lives. But then I saw who's up for the inject, and I couldn't. I just couldn't, I'm sorry. So I have to ask again - go to Project Abraham. Please don't let me down - I'm begging you.












August 8, 2008 - Khaner's Turn
(Nov 24, 1950 I.G.)

Main P.A. - With the polls closed, Khaner is chosen. (Video Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NobhfUso0cE)) In the video it is confirmed that Cassie and Khaner did have an relationship and because of it Cassie gets very personal. He takes the news very well, almost childlike with the thought that he won't get harmed. He joined P.A. just to be with Cassie in which she says is a "mistake that shouldn't cost him his life." It ends with him asking her if she'll be there after this is done which she replies "yes".

Other updates include Khaner, Danby, and Gennaro getting new reports in their dossiers. Also in Khanner's profile is a transcript between him and Hale about how he failed a placement test on purpose just to be here near Cassie which Hale is disgusted by. There's a new audio tape in the Reel to Reel section of P.A. (MP3 Here (http://www.projectabraham.com/audio/Oster.mp3)) She talks about her past with Gleen and how Hale is "the future".

AFAO.com - The AAA's thrid newsletter is up on their site. They have reciveved the tip that we sent last Tuesday. They talk about the LDT's and P.A. Again, they thank the 5 first people that sent in the tip at the end.

August 12, 2008 - "It Would Just Prolong Things"
(Nov 28, 1950 I.G.)

Main P.A. - Khaner's injection video is put up. (Video Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULohOce1pCQ&feature=user)) It shows him getting injected then soon after his eyes are school bus yellow and bloody body tissue is slowly coming out of his mouth. It is described as his body fastly producing cells to heal injuries that are not there. (The Chimera have fast healing abilities). They do a treaheatomy and put in a breathing tube which then fills up with yellow goo and cells. His head is full of the matter and it starts to swell up. When the orderly asks if they can do surgury to relieve the pressure, the doctor just says "It would just prolong things." Khaner dies a painful death of suffocation.

It's just getting worse though. This week Nathan Hale is on the list. He has never been up for injection before. I, I started to think he was safe. That he wouldn't die, that he could protect... this is Project Abraham - nobody is safe, and nobody can protect anybody else. But, maybe you can. August 15, 2008 - "It's a Death Lottery."

Main P.A. - Sgt. Hale is chosen to be next for testing. (Video here shortly) In his psych video you see Cassie in what appears to be a morgue closing up a body freezer. (Most likely Glenn's) Hale walks up to her and ask if he can talk about the decision which she says she doesn't make. He goes to ask on how she can get random "file clerks on SrpaNet" to do her job. She says about how she couldn't do any better of a job and that her test are not for choosing who's next. Hale leaves not before saying "It's a death lottery."

Also new is a reel to reel recording, a new letter talking about the firing of a security officer, and new reports in the three men's profile and a letter from his cousin Susan. From the letter you find out that Hale's mom (Rachel) and dad died when he was young and his uncle adopted him.

When entered "GET YRSD519594" you get the error "You do not have access to this file" even when signed into Howard's account. That caused the search for a new password to happen. Knowing that Col. Thompson's password was recently changed (thanks to Code "31") we knew ThompsonG was the username. The password remained hiddened till someone found out that his quote from his "Inbox" letter was from.
"In cases of defense, it's best to weigh the enemy mighter then he seems" is from a Shakespear play spoken by the character Dauphin. Dauphin was the password.

August 19, 2008 - "If I End Up Like This I Hope Somebody Shoots Me"

Main P.A. - At last, Hale gets injected. (Video Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANO0RW5SEaU&feature=user)) It goes relatively good in the beginning with Hale not feeling any different. Then, Hale seizes and twitches while having flashbacks of past injections. It gets to a point where he "Can't tell what's real" and he passes out and slips into a mixture of a coma (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coma) and deep R.E.M. sleep (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R.E.M._sleep). He has very active brainwaves but can not be awaken, similar to Capelli.

Like the following weeks, new reports are put into the men's dossiers (Hale (http://www.projectabraham.com/dossiers/hale.htm), Danby (http://www.projectabraham.com/dossiers/danby.htm), and Gennaro (http://www.projectabraham.com/dossiers/gennaro.htm)), and there's a new letter in the Inbox talking about Hale's injection.

Termina (Sec Thompsong:Dauphin)- This week had the hardest puzzle in the game so far taking 6 hours to solve. Anyhow here it is.

Using the MP3 given above, we had to find the next clue. 6 hours later we found that after putting it in multiply Spectrograph, removing the background static, and messing with the frequency, it is found out that the dots in the file are letters. August 26, 2008 - "It SHOULD Give You Immunity"

P.A - ProjectAbraham.com got it's first new update in many weeks. There's a
"classified" envelope (http://www.projectabraham.com/letter.htm) added and the 4th video doesn't automatically play. When clicked, the letter states that SRPA will be searching for AAA members at location "47 36'41.45 N 122 19'54.82 W (http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGLJ_enUS279US280&q=47%2036%2741.45%20N%20122%2019%2754.82%20W&um=1&sa=N&tab=wl)" starting 12/15/1950 (AKA Aug 30). Well the location is Seattle Washington at the start of PAX. (To all that are going to PAX, may I suggest bringing a sign with "American First, America Only" or other AAA terms for possible free Swag.... or PA Testing.)

Main P.A. - This week, like others, brings little hope from the people behind Project Abraham. Gennaro is the first to receive a new anti-virus from Dr. Malviok's team in Bryce Canyon. (Video Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELZ3bqaen5Q&feature=user)) This is a two step process in which an vaccine is injected, then the virus. (The others I suppose were just vaccines with the live virus in it ala Flu Shots). In the first step the only problem with Frank is a bad fever. After the second shot all Hell breaks loose. Gennaro's face and teeth take a Chimera-like form with a very heavy fever. He is cooking from the inside because of the virus' highten immune system. With the heat and chimera strain taking over his mind, Frank gets loose out of his straps, grabs a glass beaker, smashes it and proceeds to cut his stomach open. The orderly, doctor, and guard look in horror as he pulls out his guts, killing himself. The doctor checks for a pulse and then walks away.

Well in good news, Hale wakes up out of his deep sleep. According to Cassie in his Dossier, he's a stronger person. This makes him the first survivor of Project Abraham to live throught the injection and wake up.

In the inbox is a letter saying that their job with Project Abraham is coming to an end. Bryce Canyon will soon be taking over after the last subject is tested. Cassie and the rest of the team will soon be heading out to other jobs. Cassie also refect the end in her Reel To Reel about how the Project has changed her for the worse.

Like norm, new papers are in Danby, Gennaro, and Hale's folders.

Terminal - Today I'll do the update a bit different. I'll tell the whole puzzle here and then just list the GET codes below. Tell be which one works best.

In Gennaro's death report was the code that started this week's puzzle. It led to his directory in which are letters from his wife, son, and daughter in reply to his letter, a newspaper clipping on his daughter winning Prom Queen, his personal belongings, a insurance paper about his $10,000, 2 papers saying that his wish to save his wife incase of Chimera was denied, and one very special letter from SRPA. It's to Frank and says to him that if he were to survive that he could join a Black Ops group called "The Sentinals". This proves that they are using the project to not immune America, but to make Super Soliders for it.

Also it led to a text puzzle which is a ADFGVX Code (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ADFGVX_cipher). When solved, it gave you this.

Has anyone filled out the enlistment form on the get a war job website? I am curious to know what happens or what it is for.

I have a feeling it's just a mailing list for Resistance 2 news. You can probably expect e-mails promoting the game coming through with 'alien sighting' screenshots and the like, introducing weapons and enemy types as well as game locations..I've signed up anyway to see what it's like.

I filled in the form and 10 minutes later I was carted off to join the us army, I should of read the small print:lol:...Nah but seriously it probably is just a mailing list as yams said, ARG's always have a type of mailing list like this one....

Ok I haven't yet visited the site yet but I will as soon as possible. After reading all of the advirtisments though I was able to come up with one thing that is pretty important. And that is that there is a French resistance still active (or at least it was still active in 1949 the date that the advirtsiments were supposed to have appeared.
Is this all anyone's posted about the alternative history of the resistance universe that makes it such an intruiging place? Well ok I'll list a few or you can go to, oh it's like resistancefallofman.com or somthing
1. The United States had never before invaded another country up until operation morning star where they got their ass handed to them.
2. The European union was founded and a sucess, All of Europe except for Russia thrived up until the Chimeran invasion.
3. My all time favorite president FDR was never elected president (RAGE!!!:angry::angry::angry:)
4. The communist rebellion was stopped in Russia which was part of the reason that the allied powers were still victoriouse without the help of America

Ah ha! This means that the picture was of my old squad members. They were killed in a live fire exercise before operation morning star.
So far project Abraham looks like the foundation for the stentinals, I'm betting they found a basic genetic pattern that tends to me more resistant to the virus and injected those people with it, some died others became superhumans like me! Or they have found some way to surgically do what I just said.

It's likely Hale was part of this experiment well before the events of R1. This means it was likely no accident that he was on the expedition into Britain, and why after his infection the Sentinels knew about him so quickly. I'd go far enough to say that it was planned to have Hale, or others from his squad infected to test the effectiveness of the Chimeran vaccine.

Basically, they're just showing that Hale and some squad mates were involved in some secret experiment to find a vaccine for the Chimeran virus, well before the US got involved in Britain (Resistance 1).

This means Hale's immunity and his presence in Britain to get infected wasn't a coincidence.

I just got this as well, god i hope this site lets me into a beta at some point.

Just a guess about the project abraham videos, i reckon once the experiments are sucessful, the soldiers being experimented upon become the sentinels (humans who also have chimeran abilities) that fight along with hale

I was looking at the choices for the men to inject and I peeked at the one already injected. His name is Joseph Capelli. In his folder are what appears to be disks or hard drives of some sort that are labeled injection film, induction interview, etc... Is there a way to see what is on this film?

Yeah R:FOM kinda led on to saying that Hale was immune to the Chimera randomly. Now we know that he's part of the whole "Project Abe" thingy. It also probably explain why they never found a exact cure. Or atleast a cure they wanted. I mean Hale still shows signs of transformation with the eyes and "Angel" flashes.

All of the videos (and letters for that matter) are dated for Oct and November of 1950. Nathan Hale didn't arrive in England until July 11, 1951.

This is showing that the government already knew about the virus. How they knew and how they got their hands on a sample is still a mystery.

This is showing that the government already knew about the virus.

How could they not know? Nearly the whole world is under their control, it was obvious from how the black ops suites are shaped they knew how the virus was transmitted.
There are 4 likley possibilities of how they got the injection.
1. They got it from the British government/some resistance group in Europe such as the Maquis
2. The black ops or some other form of American controlled agents provided it with them.
3. They secretly excavated a chimeran tower in America and found a fossilized or even worse live form of the virus
4. They got it from the cloven.
This also applies for how they got the technology in order to make the sapper... I really want to know who the hell is making the backlash gernade. The technology needed to produce it makes me wonder if there is a 4th race.

Yeah that had be going for awhile too before someone pointed out "Hey all this is in 1950!" But now this does prove that it's no accident and that The Sentinels could also be part of it.

If you watch the interviews of the candidates, the one that's part of the recon squad says he's fought Chimera before. Specifically he says how if he put one down, 2 or more would join it's place, and that he didn't like the math of that.

I suppose one good thing about the narrative of R1 being so detached from Hale itself is that they had plenty of room to write this stuff into Hale's story, if it wasn't there already.

It's clear Hale had at least some small idea of why he was what he was, and knew he was the only one in the area that could fight harder than the chimera. It makes a lot more sense why you see him pushing as hard as he does.

Rumour has it people in the US will need to buy episode 3 of Qore to get in the beta.

From the Unfiction forums... During the BSG panel at Comic-Con, a flyer from the Alliance for American Autonomy put out a flyer regarding Project Abraham killing people, with a big pic of Katee. I thought this was pretty cool, but while moving up in the room for the Fringe panel, I overheard a guy in the row in front of me talking to his friend about a flash drive he got... a silver flash drive on a chain in a small brown envelope with the Project Abraham logo on it! I asked him where he got it, and he said they were being handed out outside the room. I ran out there to see if I could get one, but I couldn'tfind any :(
Happily, the guy who *did* get one was happy to let me borrow it for pictures and copying the files. The two important ones are America.jpg, which is the first page of the Alliance for American Autonomy Newsletter, reiterating that Project Abraham is bad, along with other articles. The second is PROJECTABRAHAM.mov, which appears to be an encrypted video file (haven't been able to listen to it here in the panels). I've attached the .jpg but will have to post the movie later (too big for UF at 95M). Enjoy! I'll post the video here when I get it.

Special Projects Research Administration is S.P.R.A. They are like the CIA I guess you would say of the Resistance story. They do all the secret stuff that we dont know about.

We are voting on how gets chosen to get injected with the Chimera Virus next, not killed even thought that is most likely to happen. The Doctor in charge of choosing who's next thinks it would be best if internet people tell her to do her job. Don't ask.

The drawings are of purposed (Remote controlled?) gun towers that will be built all around America to defend against the impending Chimera attack. One of the Alternative Reality Game's puzzles was to find where to place them.

Damn that's some scary stuff :sad:. I always kind of assumed that we would have a better chance then that. They're making a mistake not attempting to defend the coast though. Well the US is playing the Chimera as "The European Flu" to America because they know they are over their heads with them and the AAA doesn't like being lied to so they are broadcasting the truth. Hell, even Cassie, the doctor from Project Abraham thought it was the flu till Brown told her it wasnt. I mean sure, it would be kinda wrong to tell America that aliens are gonna kill them if there's the chance that Project Abe will work and save us all.

Well P.A. started in the Nov 1950 and Chimera invaded in Feb 1950 so P.A. was probably made as a "OMG We are sooo f**ked we need to do something" kinda thing. I wouldnt put it pass the US to be reverse enginering the virus to make their own super solider and thus keep it sealed tight from EVERYONE. At the end of R:FOM Parker says how he's marked K.I.A. by the US Army so they are keeping this sealed.

I do think we will see more about the government aspect of this battle in R:2. I was listening to the Insomiac podcast today and they we talking about Henery Steelman (The Radio host in the E3 Trailer) playing a role in R:2 and that he's a underground, AAAisk radio host. And anyhow, what do you tell America once aliens invade their backyards?

The PlayStation 3 launch title, Resistance: Fall of Man was a great game, with a surprisingly good story. It involved an alternate 1950s world where World War II never happened, yet the world was still engulfed in the chaos of war. Russia had closed off all contact with the world after the Tunguska Event, and America had further entrenched themselves in xenophobia. Toss in a mysterious race of seemingly unstoppable creatures who invade (and destroy) all of Europe at once into this painstakingly detailed backstory, and you have the makings of a great piece of fiction. Yet, the majority of people who played Resistance would never experience this throughly fleshed out mythos, since most of it was never explained in-game. Gamers who merely popped in the Blu-ray disc would miss out on most of the story, since Insomniac delivered the majority of it online, using the game's main site (http://www.resistancefallofman.com/) to act as an extensive history guide of the circumstances leading up to the game. Dozens of events across the world were explained in excruciating detail, lovingly creating a believable, terrifying alternate world. Yet, because of the disconnect between gameplay and backstory-- it is likely that most who played Resistance never found out about the site and never learned the full backstory of the game.
Insomniac seems like they've learned this time around though. For Resistance 2, they've brought in the big guns -- rumor has it they're using 4orty2wo (the guys behind ilovebees.com (http://www.ilovebees.com/)) to run a massive network of alternative reality websites that rely heavily on user interaction. On one of them, a video appeared recently showing an attractive blonde doctor (Katee Sackhoff (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0755267/) of Starbuck fame) leaning over a patient being wheeled through a hospital corridor, whispering words of support to the clearly dying man. It was followed up with videos of the doctor being chastised for risking 'the project' and her inability to follow through with what must be done -- murmurs of a mysterious 'European Influenza' were mentioned and the expendiability of the patient in the first video was emphasized.

Eventually, the site (www.projectabraham.com (http://www.projectabraham.com/)) went dark except for a countdown -- when it came back up we were greeted by the medical and war records of seven soldiers picked for a secret experiment on an Army base in Alaska, as well as the personal musings and inbox of the doctor from the first video. There were also taped meetings between her and some of the soldiers, where they were asked why they would sign up for an experiment that they know has a high chance of killing them. The different responses were interesting and ran the gamut from personal bravado (I fear nothing) to sense of responsibility (to help the greater good). The videos did a fantastic job of adding a level of emotional connection to these soldiers, and made what came next that much harder.

See, the blonde doctor (Dr. Cassie Aklin) is a psychiatrist -- and is not used to making life and death decisions for other people. Yet, following the violent and fatal failure of the first test subject, she is tasked with picking the next soldier to go into the experiment. Following a crisis of faith, she realizes that she's unable to take on this task alone and records another video (which you can view on the front page of Project Abraham), where she asks us -- the viewers, to go through the records and videos of the soldiers and decide who lives and dies so that she doesn't have to. So now, every week, we as viewers can vote on which of the soldiers is next to try out an increasingly unsuccessful experiment and depending who we pick, we get a video showing the results of that soldier when injected with the 'cure' for the mysterious plague. Here's the interesting thing though, I -- like many other people, assumed that Project Abraham had to do with the storyline in Resistance 2. It's a safe enough assumption too, considering Resistance 2 is coming out in a few months and is based in America -- where as the first one was based in Europe. Also, we already knew that America had been staying out of the conflict as much as they could, so it would make sense that they were trying to work out a vaccine or cure for the infection that turns humans into Chimera before they engaged in any full blown confrontations.

Yet, as I was going through the various nooks and crannies of the site, I noticed a couple things. First off, one of the soldiers in the experiment was none other than Nathan Hale, the protagonist from the first game. While this didn't immediatly raise any flags (since he is capture by American special forces and brought back to America at the end of the Fall of Man), I noticed something about the dates on the various documents in Dr. Aklin's inbox. They were from 1950, a full year before the start of the first game.
That's when it started to click. There was always some mystery surrounding Nathan Hale's ability to withstand the Chimeran virus -- no other human had ever been able to. Not only did he survive it, he gained creepy gold eyes and the ability to regenerate. A lot of people assumed this was just a convenient plot device -- I mean, the method of regeneration is the exact same as in countless other games (stand still and don't get shot for a bit), so there wasn't any reason to assume there was something deeper going on. And yet, there had always been this subtle implication that maybe there was.

That's where Project Abraham comes in. While Nathan Hale hasn't been subjected to the experiment yet, it is looking more and more likely that he will undergo it soon and that he'll be the first person to survive it. And what better way to test the vaccination than to send him to England under the guise of helping the English survivors fight the Chimera? Once Nathan Hale survived the virus, America would have the empirical evidence that the vaccine works. And not only did it work, it granted him powers that made him considerably stronger than a normal human, allowing him to survive situations nobody else could. The scientists behind the experiment must have been ecstatic!
Which brings us to Resistance 2 and the Sentinels, a group of soldiers who mysteriously are resistant to the Chimeran virus as well and have similar abilities to Hale's. While nothing has been confirmed yet, wouldn't it make sense that the American government would be using the vaccination to create a new form of soldier? Clearly the vaccine is too volatile to work on the general public, but a small army of these Sentinels could be a major factor in the coming Chimeran war.

And this is why I love alternate reality websites -- it gives people a chance to geek out (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324011) in the mythos behind the videogames / movies / TV shows, and in the best situations, actually get involved. I've currently gotten two different phone calls from Dr. Atklin, thanking me for helping ease the pain of her job and bemoaning the ethical issues of the experiment -- and each time it raises the hair on the back of my neck. Something about it just makes the game seem a little bit more real.

I wonder what would have happened if we chose other people who were going to be part of the elite fighting group. We know Capelli is going to be fine cause he's been shown talking in R2 trailers... which is probably why they put him in a coma... and not kill him like the other ones... Well the Sentinels I know of from the videos are Warner, Hawthrone, and Capelli. The thing is though, the first cutscene of R2 has one of the characters saying "The survivors of Project Abraham..."

Is there something we dont know about PA?

I collected all of the intelligence documents in Resistance: Fall of man. It alluded to many things such as the cloven and very important to my new theory that the chimeran virus conversion wasn't totally efficient thus suggesting the fact that there was another way for them to reproduce. In the telegraphs sent to the United States govenment It talked about things "breeding underwater", well naturally I thought t must be the fury, the underwater chimera that we haven't yet seen. But it also says that they breed from "pods" and "are not like us". Well of course it's hard to get an underwater chimera mistaken with a human in any respect, but it might be possible to compare a normal chimera to a human.
They use the pods for their natural breeding to take place away from humans thus building up their army for the eventual invasion of Russia while at the same time they f*** around with the local tribes while they construct their virus and test it on them. For what it's worth that means that they didn't know what humans were like thus cancelling out my earlier theory that humans might indeed be my, also theoretical fourth race, but it does suggest that they have encountered resistance from other species before this. This also explains why it took them over 2 decades to make their move after their landing at tunguska.

Keep it nice and easy to read, keep the dates of the updates on but put the information below it in spoiler tags. That's my advice.
Here's an idea for a wall paper (although it would be pretty tricky). Get the PA picture with the ones who are dead crossed out and each one with thier names labeled (I saw one like it somwhere in this thread) have that picture in the middle of the page while on either sides you have pictures of the bodies of PA victims as well as pictures of chimera and ESPECIALLY their fleet and either on the top or bottom of the page have it say "Was it worth it" or somthing like that... I'd idolize you forever if you could pull that off

That he wouldn't die, that he could protect... this is Project Abraham - nobody is safe, and nobody can protect anybody else. But, maybe you can. She says about how she couldn't do any better of a job and that her test are not for choosing who's next. Hale leaves not before saying "It's a death lottery."

Also new is a reel to reel recording, a new letter talking about the firing of a security officer, and new reports in the three men's profile and a letter from his cousin Susan. From the letter you find out that Hale's mom (Rachel) and dad died when he was young and his uncle adopted him.

AFAO.com - The fifth newsletter is up. The main article is about "The Tunguska Event" which is about how aliens crashed in Russia and that's where we get the Chimera. Then, Hale seizes and twitches while having flashbacks of past injections. It gets to a point where he "Can't tell what's real" and he passes out and slips into a mixture of a coma (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coma) and deep R.E.M. sleep (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R.E.M._sleep). He has very active brainwaves but can not be awaken, similar to Capelli.

Like the following weeks, new reports are put into the men's dossiers (Hale (http://www.projectabraham.com/dossiers/hale.htm), Danby (http://www.projectabraham.com/dossiers/danby.htm), and Gennaro (http://www.projectabraham.com/dossiers/gennaro.htm)), and there's a new letter in the Inbox talking about Hale's injection.

This is where a dead end was found. Using the MP3 given above, we had to find the next clue. 6 hours later we found that after putting it in multiply Spectrograph, removing the background static, and messing with the frequency, it is found out that the dots in the file are letters. Oh yeah totally. Also in one of the GET files talking about the Project Abraham in 1949 they say about comparing their results to the Russian's. So we have these two things. Either Russia found the virus and started to play with it to make Super Soldiers and end up making the Chimera what they are now, or they tried to make their own rescue attempt to stop the Chimera. Either way you can get the Cloven from it. Chances are the Cloven are the Russian version of The Sentinels, except not immune.

Well, the Russain experiments happened a long time ago, and something is happening to Hale. So the Sentinels may not be that immune either. ;)

It's likely a bit of both, Russia both found the virus and the Chimera appeared at the same time. Or, in the process of nabbing the virus sample they activated the invasion sequence for a large scale conversion.

Other terminal data indicates that the Chimera virus has been active in the area for a much longer time since the report from local Siberian culture indicates some Shamans would turn into Chimera as part of a ritual.

I think what saved humanity from an early Chimeran invasion was the relative inhospitable terrain that didn't have much in the way of anything for the Chimera to convert.

All in all, I really like how much more story is being presented this time around and I do hope they include a lot more of it within the actual game.

First, download the RF992388LS mp3 file
note "1200hz (Duplo)" in the MP3's ID3 title tag
open the sound file using a spectrogram program, and get an image of the audio from start to finish. (I personally prefer Sonic Visualiser (http://www.sonicvisualiser.org/) for spectrogram analysis)
note the two layers of extremely long strings of dots and dashes through the sound file - these are not morse codes!
1200hz is the approximate frequency of the main signal in the sound, but the signal does drop to about 800hz about a third of the way through, before returning to the original level - but that's not important to the solve.



notice that every 3 (in some cases 2) sets of 2x3 blocks, ends with its top row of 3 being empty
following the idea of 'duplo' (duplex, or essentially doubled, stacked), place each block on top of the previous one
in whichever order you want to do it - just make sure at the end you flip the entire string vertically - the text is mirrored if the map y axis is low to high frequency (consequently, if the spectrogram frequency was mapped from top to bottom, flipping wouldn't be necessary to correctly orient the text)
so, each 'letter' is comprised of 3 (or in some cases 2) sets of 2x3 blocks. once correctly grouped and the letter/number determined, throughout the entire sound file, you get the resulting message:

I think that the shamans were used by the chimera as experaments as they tried out thier virus and that's why it took so long for Russia to really be attacked. In the document that talked about the Shamans it was only talking about the events since the tunguska event. I'm not certian exactly how but then the Russians got ahold of it and began to experament with it creating the Cloven. It's pretty obviouse then that the cloven were created although I don't understand how they were made on such a massive scale. I would have thought that all of them would either have been killed by the Chimera or when the Russian government found out what the virus did to them they would have stopped producing it.
At any rate it looks as though the cloven have sided themselves with the Chimera although the Chimera don't really want their help. They worship Malcov for creating them although it doesn't make sense why they would try to attack him.... I'll look over the data again.

I wonder when this was made? If I knew that then we would know if the cloven somhow awoke the Chimera. I dobut it though Malkov can't be that old. The Cloven joined the chimera.... They are probably commanded by the Angels but Hybrids and ground troops see them as threats.

He joined P.A. with only that in mind. To save his family from his actions.

A new letter in Danby's folder is added and a new Reel to Reel with Cassie talking about the Abraham story in the Bible and how it's nothing like this project in its name.

AFAO.com - The sixth newsletter is added to the site. It talks about the things we discovered on Friday such as Dr. Malikov and how he basically created the Cloven and Hale surviving. New is talk about the new SRPA base, voting for an AAA canidate 2 years from now, and how AAA members are getting treated by America.

Terminal - The only new code for today is GET SBST67100928 which is just the bank statement from the check above.

The first injection was what made it different, that thing was something to supposedly make him immune, then they injected the virus itself. Now the others got one injection with the virus and some other stuff.

I don't think they injected Hale or Capelli with the virus itself. Instead, it was a vaccine against the virus that had bits of the virus in it. Instead, Gennaro first got the vaccine, and then the full dose of the virus

P.A - ProjectAbraham.com got it's first new update in many weeks. There's a
"classified" envelope (http://www.projectabraham.com/letter.htm) added and the 4th video doesn't automatically play. When clicked, the letter states that SRPA will be searching for AAA members at location "47 36'41.45 N 122 19'54.82 W (http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGLJ_enUS279US280&q=47%2036%2741.45%20N%20122%2019%2754.82%20W&um=1&sa=N&tab=wl)" starting 12/15/1950 (AKA Aug 30). Well the location is Seattle Washington at the start of PAX. (To all that are going to PAX, may I suggest bringing a sign with "American First, America Only" or other AAA terms for possible free Swag.... or PA Testing.)

Main P.A. - This week, like others, brings little hope from the people behind Project Abraham. Gennaro is the first to receive a new anti-virus from Dr. Malviok's team in Bryce Canyon. (The others I suppose were just vaccines with the live virus in it ala Flu Shots). In the first step the only problem with Frank is a bad fever. After the second shot all Hell breaks loose. Gennaro's face and teeth take a Chimera-like form with a very heavy fever. He is cooking from the inside because of the virus' highten immune system. With the heat and chimera strain taking over his mind, Frank gets loose out of his straps, grabs a glass beaker, smashes it and proceeds to cut his stomach open. The orderly, doctor, and guard look in horror as he pulls out his guts, killing himself. The doctor checks for a pulse and then walks away.

Well in good news, Hale wakes up out of his deep sleep. According to Cassie in his Dossier, he's a stronger person. This makes him the first survivor of Project Abraham to live throught the injection and wake up.

In the inbox is a letter saying that their job with Project Abraham is coming to an end. Bryce Canyon will soon be taking over after the last subject is tested. Cassie and the rest of the team will soon be heading out to other jobs. Cassie also refect the end in her Reel To Reel about how the Project has changed her for the worse.

Terminal - Today I'll do the update a bit different. I'll tell the whole puzzle here and then just list the GET codes below. Tell be which one works best.

In Gennaro's death report was the code that started this week's puzzle. It led to his directory in which are letters from his wife, son, and daughter in reply to his letter, a newspaper clipping on his daughter winning Prom Queen, his personal belongings, a insurance paper about his $10,000, 2 papers saying that his wish to save his wife incase of Chimera was denied, and one very special letter from SRPA. It's to Frank and says to him that if he were to survive that he could join a Black Ops group called "The Sentinals". This proves that they are using the project to not immune America, but to make Super Soliders for it.

For those wondering about the current private beta, it's not the same as the public beta happening later this year.

The private beta was supposed to be amongst friends and family of Insomniac and maybe Sony staff. However, the people and computer handling the beta invites started pulling names from the entire beta list including pre-orders and Qore subscribers.

I suspect the current beta isn't what we'll get in the public beta, namely because this private beta has the co-op mode included that shows off some creatures they still wanted to keep under wraps.

Just so we can discuss general things about the game instead of bloating the excellent ARG thread in these forums.

Some new footage was released showing off the Splicer weapon. It's a lot like The Ripper from UT3, but done in so much cooler.

Basically, the normal fire shoots out a spinning saw blade, that will often cut weaker enemies literally to pieces. You can also hold down the fire button to rev up the blade so that it becomes red hot. Then, if you fire it, it'll slice through more enemies, or against tougher enemies the blade will stick inside them slowly doing damage and cutting through them.

The alternate fire you can fire out a swarm of remote controlled blades that whirl around the target, shredding it.

I didn't think I'd see such a nasty weapon in a Resistance game, but that's pretty interesting. Looks like they're finally pushing that M rating.

I was fortunate enough to play the Resistance 2 beta yesterday, and I gotta say, I wasn't impressed.

The first game mode I played was basically what looked like a Resistance / Team Fortress 2 mix-up, where the graphical design of the characters and such was a tribute to TF2, and the Valve guys...

It didn't play well...

Then I got into the multiplayer team deathmatch, and it looked a lot like the original Resistance. All of the cheesy TF2 graphical properties weren't there, and it looked like Resistance again.

But it still wasn't that fun.

It was alright, don't get me wrong. But I don't want to buy it now.

They kept some of the weapons in, and they made a few little tweaks to the weapons, but the XP system wasn't as good as the basic points system on Resistance 1.

Plus, there were a lot of campers. Whether that was just the particular players or in general will have to wait and see, but it was quite frustrating...

It's definitely worth playing before you buy. You might be left disappointed, that's all I'm gonna say...

Ok I just thought of a really cool R2 ending. So Hale dies either from the virus or on the field but before he dies he knocks up Aklin. After Hale's death the United states government and remaining citizens retreat behind the freedom towers and then a few decades later Hale's son leads the charge against the Chimera....

Looks like they fast forwarded about a year. Chimera are making their initial probing attacks on the North American continent. The Alaska base came under attack, probably from a small force of Chimera crossing the Bering Straight from Russia. The base was then relocated.

The reason why AFAO offices were trashed was that the SRPA raided them, and it also matches the theme of destruction.

Same for GetAWarJob. That site no longer works, I suspect that the ARG is pretty much ending, or transitioning to something else.

Considering that this is a beta with unfinished, well, everything. I don't think commenting on the graphics is at all warranted at this point. You're not even supposed to talk about the beta itself, let alone how it looks when it's not even done. Your comment about how it looks low res like TF2 for some odd reason says that the game's high resolution models aren't in the game yet. Some gameplay comments are more valid, but even then they'll tweak gameplay well up until release.

Can you be more specific about elements you didn't like. You were vague about actual gameplay elements you disliked, making it sound like the graphics were the main dislike.

I actually like the scoring system, but that's highly subjective as different people prefer different things. I think it's a step up from a lot of games that are just about the killing hit. This system better rewards people for their effort towards the kill, and can foster more teamwork since teammates are no longer concerned about team killing. Also for a game with regenerating health it can work better since if you hurt an enemy a lot, but he escapes to regenerate his health, you still get the points for doing that much damage to him.

What mode did you play with all the camping, did you try the main mode where the game gives you a squad and objective? Did you follow the objectives? One objective that's common is to assault and control an location, as such there would be people who stay in one area to defend that objective. Try using the Auger attach campers through walls to flush them out, the Auger's shots actually become more powerful as they pass through objects, and aiming while using the weapon allows you to see through walls.

There's a co-op mode in the beta too.

After Hale's death the United states government and remaining citizens retreat behind the freedom towers and then a few decades later Hale's son leads the charge against the Chimera....

They actually had a couple of cards talking about americafirstamericaonly that they were giving away - one was the traditional one with the picture of the soldiers on the front of it, except all but two of their faces had been scratched out, and it says something about these American soldiers dying in vain.

Another one was about some lady that was apparently used for scientific experimentation by the US military. I'll try to scan these tonight and post them when I get home from work tonight, but they were pretty sweet.

Also, standard PAX swag fare included a bag, a hat, and a shirt, but those didn't mention afao.

Yes and yes to both of those. Also, the game was pretty slick too. It played a lot like R1 (big surprise) but seemed smoother to me. They had a multiplayer demo set up, but I don't think they were showcasing any of the story mode.

Alot of people don't like the beta, my theory is that they're trying to learn how to make the worst levels better. I mean it wouldn't have gotten the raves from Gamepro and gametrailers. They're not testing out their best levels because those are their BEST.

The first game mode I played was basically what looked like a Resistance / Team Fortress 2 mix-up, where the graphical design of the characters and such was a tribute to TF2, and the Valve guys..You mean there's a game mode with cartoony graphics?

Hmmmm, since i haven't been privy to the beta, i'll reserve my judgment for when it comes out. I'll be disappointed if it doesn't deliver.

Still wondering if I want to shell out the extra 20(?) bucks for the Collectors edition since my Halo Cat Helmet has just been collecting dust. I do plan to get it on launch day though.

the fact remains though that the multiplayer is not my main reason for buying this game, so whether or not it sucks, as long as the single player rules like the first game, i will be more than satisfied.

No secondary fire on the marksman other than to zoom in. It's a pretty powerful weapon on it's own, basically a battle rifle. By default I think it fires 3 round bursts with a decent zoom, it fits the standard profile of a battle rifle throughout the world, lower rate of fire or bust mode, longer barrel, usually equipped for medium to long range combat and pinpoint fire.

Yeah, I love the leaked co-op footage. I mean, look at all those enemies! I can't wait to have fun with friends running through those levels in those huge firefights. All that Bullseye fire streaking all over the place. It really gives the feeling of an elite squad of supersoldiers running through Chimera infested territory, cleaning it out block by block.

Looks like Greyjacks are back, wow, and they're even tougher. You've seen the Grims in packs, now imagine the bigger, tougher, longer reaching greyjacks coming at you in swarms.

The 3 class interactions are interesting, if a bit simplistic so far. IG has said there'll be plenty of unlocks for both co-op and adversarial multiplayer.

What class do you think you'll be on principle? I think I'm going to go for medic if only because of the carbine (I am the f***ing master of that gun on the campaign mode). Although In the end I'm probably going to go for the lease popular class.

I usually play support classes but it seems like fun to play a Soldier. That hex grid shield pattern will get annoying after a while, I hope they change it to a subtler effect.

Remember that the medic has to use his medic gun to hurt enemies to gain energy used to heal teammates.

Also, I'm pretty sure each class can get upgrades to different weapons, so I suspect there'll be a carbine available to the soldier class.

Oh wow, and I just spotted a grenade launcher with a drum magazine on the AFAO site. Looks like someone's getting some serious firepower.
