Favorite episode ever. Its not a roomah is my favorite section of the podcast.
I do think its funny how the firmware bricked systems and how a flaw like that managed to get by testing.

I was glad I didn't upgrade my PS3. I'm usually on top of every upgrade that comes out for consoles. Good to see that they took care of it in a timely matter. Rolling over & waking up Frawlz... hmmm, I think he is just daring me to send in another letter lmao =P.

I'm really looking forward to E3 & toe coverage you guys will have. It will also be the start of my blog post which I've been slacking off on lol. Been dealing with a Vacation me & the GF will be going on next month. So I've been distracted =P.

It seems pretty ridiculous that these updates will brick your systems. I think there was a Wii one that did that early on and I've known of some software updates for various (non-console) thing basically breaking the software until it's fixed by the company. I feel like it should never happen, but it seems to happen quite a lot. so maybe it's harder than we all think.

Yeah, great show, only thing is, right after I got done listening to it on my iTunes, I ran to grab dinner, and came back and my friggin PS3 was bricked. Not firmware related I am sure, think it's the Power Supply. Has to happen on the damn weekend, so I can't even call Sony til Monday.

I had just bought GH: Aerosmith (not worth 60 bucks edition) and finally grabbed Burnout Paradise. At least I hadn't grabbed Battlefield: Bad Company or COD4 yet, as my internet is shared wireless right now and it's a joke getting on with the PS3 anytime before 11 PM.

Ouch never unplug it with the power still on you lose alot of data :-)

You guys do know that updates bricking systems is nothing new... it's happened on the 360 before too (http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=25101615). This was clearly not nearly as wide spread of a problem as the knee-jerkers first thought as it's pretty much disappeared overnight... nobody's talking about it. If it were wide-spread, people would be bitching... publicly.

BTW, ridonkulous is MUCH better than ri-cock-ulous... I want to punch people in the throat when they say that. "What's on your mind, buddy? Cock?!" Sorry to be crude, but Jesus... people sounds retarded sometimes.

I can safely say I've never heard anyone use the word ricockulous...ridonkulous yes, loads of times.
