G'day Guys...
First off I would like to introduce myself. My name is Liam and I am a 27 year old Downhill Mountain biker, Surfer, Snowboarder, Graphic Designer from Canberra, Australia.
I recently bought my first house which allowed me to go pretty wild with a home entertainment system, which then lead me to getting a PS3 as it was the best way to get a blueray player.
Not being in to games much, I asked the sales assistant and the store which game should I get with the system, he highly recommended Call of Duty 4 as "Online play is going off". I thought to myself... online play hey, might give that a go. So I shortly completed the game to build up my skill level and then dived in to the online play... holy crap, I have never had so much fun! From someone who was never in to computer games and within three months developing a pasty white skin and bloodshot eyes... and here is the best bit, not listening to HipHop on my car's stereo (Subwoofers and all that jazz) anymore... but listening to the PS3 podcast from the boys at Sarcastic Gamer.
So now, I must confess... I have become a gamer. I am addicted to playing games. I can't wait to get home, plug in and take some time out playing online. This has lead me to buying a headset, the headset in question is a Gioteck EX01. I only quickly played with it last night but I was a bit dissapointed, I like listening to my games with the volume up, I have a pretty good surround sound system and like to take advantage of hearing the guys creap around in some of the maps. Now when I had the headset on last night, all I could hear was my stereo echoing through the headset... I have had a very quick look online and the only way I have read about combating this is to turn the TV down? Is there another way around it so I can enjoy the best of both worlds i.e stereo up and headset working with no echo?
Cheers guys!
PS. Good work on the PS3 Podcast! Look forward to it every week.
