When do you plan on answering more mailed in questions?

We plan on answering listener questions weekly as the agenda permits, but we agree with folks that said we should do email episodes on every 10th episode, episode 10 was one of our favorites.

This week (and probably next week) are just too packed already with E3 discussion. Keep in mind, we also get questions that we simply answer... not only on the show. I know that's probably not what you were looking for, but we have had people specify they didn't care if they got on the air or not, they just had questions. Those get answered ASAP if we can't fit 'em in an episode.

Did you even mention the FF13 announcement once? I know you don't like rpgs Rothbart but I thought you guys would have gave your opinion on it.

Thats good. I'm curious to see what you think of FF13 no longer being a PS3 exclusive.

LBP is getting slept on by the hardcore but loved by the critics. I wonder if it'll get critical acclaim but fail to sell well. You guys do an awesome job on the podcast but i wish it was a bit longer. Little Big day one purchase for me.

Good point. It could very well end up like Boom Blox with critical acclaim, but poor sales.

But is has way to much hype for it to fail like Boom Blox.

While no massively different LBP footage was shown from the Press Conference, I saw drastically different gameplay styles from other video from E3 week. Racing, boss battles, etc.

It is a 400 dollar system... and a E for Everyone game. As much as everyone wants to believe that this game will do well... and it will... but I seriously think that it will be labeled as a kid game. This game will sell... but it would sell even more if it was a Nintendo product. This is the PS3 we are talking about. Not known at all for kid games.

Before all of you get on me telling me that this is not kid game. I know that already. But no matter what they advertise... the people will still look at it that way.

The system is to expensive for kids who are young enough to want kiddy games.

was very very disappointed with NCAA: 09 like usual, but after reading all the stuff aboot madden 09, i thought NCAA 09 would be revamped as well... this leaves me very apprehensive about madden.

I was surprised that Frawlz got shot down about his opinion with the conferences. A lot of sites, including SG (according to a post), agree that Microsoft had the best conference. The main deciding factor was that MS had many onstage demostrations which included third party developers. They gave equal time to both first & third party developers. Sony's conference had almost 50 minutes of that 1 nervous guy talking. Yes, I timed it haha. A bunch of thrown together montages, a few game annoucements in trailer & cgi fashion. The LBP demonstration was the best part of it. DC universe was ok but I have little faith in SOE MMO's. Most usually are pretty bad. Of course, the FF XIII announcement was huge =). They mostly focused on themselves & no one else. Sad thing is, there were so many PS3 games at E3 they could of used but they didn't. Edge to MS =).

I will be getting little big planet though as it keeps looking better & better. I'll break my PS3 online cherry with that game =P. It'll also be my second PS3 purchase lo. Had my PS3 for almost a year now.

i respectfully disagree... i was put off by the microsoft guy reminding me how the 360 is leading the sales numbers between every bit of information they gave. that's why i liked MS's a bit less (well, one of the reasons anyway)... as i said in another post, neither were really GOOD, and it could go either way between MS and Sony, but i liked sony's a little more.

Simply looking at the games shown during each presser, I was interested in more games from the Sony conference. That said, I was also interested in non-gaming portions of both conferences as well.

Judging by "most memorable" or "most shocking" then hands down, it was Microsoft with the Xbox Experience and FF XIII announcements.

They each had notable games absent as well which I found peculiar.

Yet another great podcast guys. I'm gonna have to side with Frawlz though for the bet, Killzone 2 is going to outsell LBP. Personally, I think LBP will be the better game/experience but it's inadvertently going to be targeting a younger audience amongst casual gamers.

I think virtually all of the "informed" gamers out there are, like me, going to inevitably buy both games. So that leaves the deciding sales down to whichever game appeals most to the "uninformed" audience (gamers that don't check websites, don't follow hype and basically buy whichever game has a decent looking box). I think KZ2 will be more appealing to that particular crowd.

It's going to be an interesting show when the results are in, that's for sure!

i won't be buying KZ 2... not unless it wows the hell out of me.

Aren't Wii (see what i did there) forgetting a conference....Nintendo's!!! The event kept me bored from start to finish.They showed some good games like Animal Crossing and um GTA Chinatown...nothing like censored violence :lol:.But Cammie going on about how she's a cool mom and how she broke her wrist.Snooze.

I enjoyed Sony's conference alot more than the others due to the games shown Resistance 2,Killzone 2,LBP,Quest for Booty,Fat Princess,inFamous,DC Universe Online,M.A.G and God Of War 3 :w00t: each look awesome and are sure to be hits.
I was also interested in other parts of the event....the video store looks awesome and the 80Gb model is great for those who haven't purchased a PS3.

Lets not forget the PSP and PS2 with titles coming out such as Star Wars, Madden, LocoRoco, NBA, a new Lego franchise, Patapon 2, Buzz quiz game on the PSP and Yakuza 2, Force Unleashed, NCAA Football, Tiger Woods, Warriors Orochi 2, Singstar Pop vol. 2, Madden, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames still possible on the PS2 and a new PS2 bundle complete with Lego:Batman and the movie Justice League for $149.

Good job Sony now you have to deliver on those games.:thumbsup:

Well I can see that NightKiller is easily pleased lol. Out of the Ps3 lineup, how many of them were trailers? All of them. LBP was the only game you listed that was actually shown on stage & ingame during that entire conference. What they did with it was very cool so I'm not taking credit away from that. My question to Sony is why couldn't they let the developers get like 5 minutes of there conference to show journalist there & people watching actual ingame play. How hard is that? Outside out MAG & GOW3, there is no excuse for the other games. That's my pissy fit with there conference. Winning me over with short trailers isn't going to work. I'm not that gulable.

This is how the generation of gamers have changed over the years. If this was a 2000 E3 or earlier, gamers would be like " I don't want to see no damn trailer, I wane to see someone playing it! ". Now, all of a sudden, a 30 second cgi trailer clip of kratos or a CGI of this MAG game is " awesome ". That would leave me like wtf? Are you serious lol. Hasn't Haze been a shining example of " stop falling for that bs ". Just like Alone in the Dark & other games to have come out this year. Until I have an actual game in my hand or get ample time of watching others play it, then I can judge from there. Those short trailers do nothing for me but that's how I've always been =P. Comes with age =).

You've got a Rated E "for everyone" game launching into the holiday season going against a Rated M for "massacre" ;) title launching into the Feb-Aug window... once they get closer to launch, I bet you're going to be surprised at all the cross-over and community created content for this game... any theme you can think of can be done in LBP. Levels for fans of other games/genres are totally within possibility.

I'm confident LBP will outsell KZ2, but keep in mind that's not me saying KZ2 won't sell phenomenally well, it's be saying LBP will sell phenominalier well. New words FTW! :lol:
