this friday the most competitive tournament begins. the olympics.so are you going to watch them? also who are you rutting for? me i am going to watch some event like swimming. i want to see if michel phelps can take home 8 gold metals. i am rutting for USA. Are any of you guys actually going to be there? if so share what it is like.

If I see it on I will watch it, but I am not going to make time for it or anything or plan my schedule around it.

Meh. I think I used to like the olympics, but not anymore. I don't know what happened, but watching any kind of sport is incredibly boring.

I love watching pretty much all sports, but I have things I have to get done and I don't have time to watch them. If there is something important or some athlete I really care about in an event I will watch it, but that is pretty much it.

I don't really like the Summer Olympics that much, the Winter Olympics have so many better sports. I may watch the Triathlon and the kayak and boat races but that will probably be it.

You do realize that it isn't reference Dragonball but Journey West(the Chinese story that the Dragonball series was based off of).

the olympics has left me cold this year and the time difference (from the UK) will mean I wont see much of it.

I'm not really going to pay attention to the sports. These olympics are going to be a friggin disaster. There are going to be terrorist attacks everywhere, quiet riots, loud riots. WTH China was chosen, anyone in the UK see Panorama the other day? He was doing a report on 'how free the press actually is'... He was being stalked by the government and was given a minder. Sounds free to me :thumbsup:

I have read some of the translation of Journey West, I think its called Monkey (or something about monkeys) but someone told me to really 'get' it you would have to read the origional -which was written in the 1500's, and in chinese.

Considering i've never watch sports or know who any of the athletes are or have any interest what so ever in the Olmypics i think i'll pass.

Watching the USA Basketball games mainly. Hopefully we dominate like usual & not end up like a joke that the 2004 team was =). I'm USA for every event of course.

I will watch swimming and Water Polo, the two sports i compete in and i love watching the pros. because i have a great respect for what they've achieved and i sometimes learn things from watching

Have you seen that some of the Olympians are arriving at Chini with masks over their mouths because of how polluted the air is?

I will watch as much as possible.

If it's on and it's an interesting event maybe....but most likely not.
