 i bought medevil 2 total war to find that it dident work on my pc
because my pc was not "advanced" enough. luckly the dudes at my eb games took it back.
but the real problem was that to play it sucessfully i needed a $200-$300 graphics card and i dont have that kind of cash.
so big question to all you people who have played this game is it worth it??:undecided:

You won't need a $200-$300 video card, simple.
I just checked the specs and I have a 8600GT 512mb which you can buy for about $100 and it can run the game on high.
The game came out 2 years ago, you need a fairly crap card to run it well.

Just simple use this site and double check that your graphics card is the problem first.

Specs for the game (graphics) = 128MB Graphics Card with Shader 1 support (DirectX 9.0c compatible)
you could probably pick a card like that up for $50.

Holy crap. You must be using a 10-year old computer if your computer's GC isn't at least 128. That was the standard for my 5-year-old crap computer.

yhea thats the thing i dont have that good shader support
it like says you need 1.1 or better
my pc proably has like 0.4 or something:undecided:

all i need is a better shader and i dont want to spend that $50
for one component.
it cost like $30 for the game so is playing the game worth $80

Well technically your not, as you'd be able to play other games with that card.
What card do you have now? Is it a media accelerator by any chance?

Are you on Windows or Mac?

If your on windows simply type into your run box thing 'dxdiag' open that program then go across in the tabs to 'display' and it will say 'device name' and that is your graphics card.

Playing Medieval 2 alone isn't worth the price of a decent new video card, but playing that along with the hundreds of excellent modern games that require a nicer card is.

I would definitely back up the suggestion of a 8600GT 512mb. I own the same card, and I'm able to play just about any new game with fair settings.

I can't run medieval 2 either, but only the battles are the problem.
however it's the family computer so i cant say change this so I can play more games

My 8800Gt can run Medieval perfectly on highest everything, but that is $200. I back up the 8600 idea.

8600GT comes with the right shaders and everything you need, and your computer should have a PCI-E slot.

If his computer is as old as I think it is I doubt the motherboard would support a 9600, thats the problem.
