if bots online multi-player i don't think thats a good idea cause the bots'll get in the way of finding enemie players

Whoa. Color me impressed. Those Bungie guys never stop shocking me with these updates. They are number one with community pleasing as well.

Campaign?

Nope. If Bungie was going to update anything it would be Multiplayer.

I think that it'll be a real Multiplayer map editor, not a "watered down" version *cough*Forge*cough*

As for the AI Bots, I don't really know what to think about those. I hope they don't put them into online Multiplayer cause it'll have tons of problems and people will most likely complain.

I am excited though. Can't wait.

you're probably right about the complaining part gamers online can be pretty testy and won't go for stuff that they don't like they'll just try to complain they're ways out of it

I think there might be bots, but they will be something you put in with forge.

I'm one of the world's most popular and celebrated Forgers. You can imagine how excited I am to get my hands on this. :D

The bots would be cool if in Forge. Sometimes I wanna see if a map I made is any good and dont have anyone to play against so it could be cool.

Yea, they'll probably charge some cash. GOW2 is also putting bots as an option in multiplayer.

Yeah, that would be sweet. But it would also be cool if you could team up against a bunch of bots in mutiplayer. Maybe have someting like GoW2 where you just fight wave after wave of baddies.

That would be awesome!!
If they released something like that I would buy it in a heart beat.

If this is really true then Halo 3 will stay in it's #1 spot some more. The bots Im guessing will be like the bots in Super Smash Brothers (The last one I played was on the 64) where you can pull up a drop down menu and choose if you want the to attack on sight, attack when attacked, run, walk, stand, and other things like that. Think of how machinima writers could put this in their movies. Think of how people could train on their sniping skills by putting a few brutes to walk back and forth and just snip them off. Think of 1 team CTF in which you could fight a waves of AIs to get to the flag. Thing of how all the kids will fill their maps will Bots so you can tell the difference between fake or real!

The Map Editor seems just as cool but a bit tricky on a controller I presume. It's hard enough for me to snap a wall to a 90* angle yet alone me make a 1:1 version of the Halo 2 Blood Gulch. If FarCry 2 can pull it off with an controller then I guess Bungie can too. Stay tune for "Penis Island" and "Boob Valley".

that does seem like it would be pretty cool to have target practice every once in a while

This was pretty much my impression when I saw it. I'd certainly love this.

I hope it can be this in depth: Get to point A, hold it for X amount of time. Then take object Y to point B within Z amount of time. Then hold back enemy forces until reenforcement arrive to help you take point C.

Imagine doing that with your XBL friends =-]

Your algebra lesson is complete!

I don't care if it's free or not, I'll buy this if it has a map editor. It looks awesome.

Yeah, Bungie could charge for the update, but i unno, it sounds a little to big maybe... especially if the bots are on xbl.... how could some people have and some not?

if ya get me....

That would be PFS (pretty freaking sweet)

It would also be useful in forge. I could use some sniper practice.

maybe they'll have it where it's a new type of level where you just have to fend off wave after wave of enemy

My God. They can emulate Left 4 Dead... Sorta. No intelligent AI director, but still, play Zombie, 16-person, 8 are survivors, 8 are undead... Along with the AI players. Beast.

With Bungie being as secretive as they are, if they are planning on putting bots in I don't think they'd put them in a video like this. I think they were just messing about with their dev tools when they made the video.
