View Full Version : Alright. Who's Wife can I expect to be humping in October?
caruso1268 08-13-2008, 08:21 AM If you didnt know, this thread is about Fable 2. More specifically - i know i mispelled that- , who is buying it. I know I am! If you didnt get that joke, you need to refresh yourself in Fable 2 facts. I have confidence that most of you got it though.
Those who DIDN'T get the joke, you can read my long boring-ass speech before you embarress -again, im a bad speller- yourself.
In Fable 2, until you invite another player into your world, you'll see players as glowing orbs that cant do anything but move. But, you need to be VERY careful about who you let into your world, because, whatever THEY do in YOUR WORLD is permanent. Just like if you had done it. So, true, you COULD invite Lono in to help you with a quest. But do you really want to take the risk that he might rape your kids, kill your dog and F*** your wife? It's your choice.
MJBarret 08-13-2008, 08:28 AM I'd kill them all first, Keyser Sóze style, before Lono could get at them!
caruso1268 08-13-2008, 08:43 AM (bump) Are you buying the game then Barret?
viatrophy 08-13-2008, 08:53 AM Don't bump threads. :p
I will most likely pick the game up, but not until Christmas due to there is other games I want in October (LBP & Dead Space.)
I will most likely just well.. kill my friends wives as it seems fun. :D
Demief 08-13-2008, 08:54 AM seriously? that's cool. I know i'm getting fable but i havnt researched at all. i never even considered multiplayer Fable....awesome. :D
viatrophy 08-13-2008, 09:19 AM i never even considered multiplayer Fable....awesome. :D
It'll be a interesting experience that's for sure. :p
DeathByWaffle 08-13-2008, 10:11 AM (bump) Are you buying the game then Barret?
Don't bump threads, especially only after 20 minutes of a post.
I will buy the game. At least I will gamefly it.
IceKatana X 08-13-2008, 10:14 AM I might get it though I know I'm definitely not getting a wife.
DeathByWaffle 08-13-2008, 10:19 AM I might get it though I know I'm definitely not getting a wife.
I am not really aware of all the character creation stuff in Fable 2... Do you start out as the main character, or do you make the character yourself?
AcesHigh4895 08-13-2008, 10:35 AM I think you make the character, and you can be female. If you are you can even get pregnant, which (presumably) affects gameplay for a while.
Vinc3nt 08-13-2008, 10:43 AM This game sounds amazing and multiplayer on it sounds even better viatrophy you better pick it up I want to make your wife pregnant lol
DeathByWaffle 08-13-2008, 11:09 AM Little creepy there.
I am sure this game "sounds" amazing, but wasn't there a lot of things that were promised in Fable 1 that were not really as fleshed out as they were said to be? I will not get reeled in by hype, I will rent this game and see if it is really is as amazing as everyone is saying it will be.
NeedlessMystery 08-13-2008, 11:17 AM Yeah, I'm not believing all the build-up until the reviews are released. Molyneux has a reputation for becoming -- shall we say -- a little overly enthusiastic about his projects. Case in point: Fable 1, where half the revolutionary features weren't delivered on.
viatrophy 08-13-2008, 11:30 AM

I'm pretty sure you just start as the main character and customize with amour etc. as you go along.
Silentio 08-13-2008, 11:45 AM Maybe I'm not as worried as I should be by the failure of Fable 1 to live up to the hype. From the videos alone this time around, I think it looks like Fable 2 will deliver. I'm buying it on day one.
PS. I will be engaging in coitus with all of your wives.
codespace 08-13-2008, 01:12 PM I'm pretty sure you just start as the main character and customize with amour etc. as you go along.
You do get to select gender this time around, so it's possible there will be more customization options as well, if only to more easily differentiate your character from others in multiplayer.
Bloodlut 08-13-2008, 02:12 PM Fable 2 is mine!
I really want this game.... like Nooooooow.....
i cry myself to sleep because i want this game so much....well not quite...

Fable was great at the time, but after playing something like Oblivion it really can't come even close. I hope the 2nd one will be much better.
Bloodlut 08-13-2008, 02:24 PM oh, and also you can all share my wife, i can't wait to raise the demon spawn of the entire Sarcastic gamer forum....
yeah, but with children like this the game is bound to be epic....
I actually played fable in anticipation of fable 2.... i actually very much so enjoyed it.... (oh, i'm an oblivion fanboy as well)
caruso1268 08-13-2008, 02:41 PM Right. So who would be willing AND trustworthy enough to go questing with me WITHOUT raping my wife and molesting my children. For future reference, I wont rape your kids. You have my word as a gamer.

...Did you just quote and respond to yourself?
Bloodlut 08-13-2008, 03:12 PM i wouldn't touch another's wife, i have more honour than that, plus i am going to be a lesbian ^_^
you could be homosexual in fable one, so assume they have expanded on that in fable 2.... no?
heh, and hopefully the love making is better than a black screen and the same few phrases repeated over and over....
(lol, i did indeed)

You can turn off the permanent effect.
caruso1268 08-13-2008, 05:44 PM Oh! Thats a relief! But you still have to be careful who you have in your world and who you go questing with.
bassboy2100 08-13-2008, 06:43 PM Lono wouldn't do that to MY wife
Fearless987 08-13-2008, 07:16 PM I think you make the character, and you can be female. If you are you can even get pregnant, which (presumably) affects gameplay for a while.
Here comes Fox News:lol:!

caruso1268 08-13-2008, 07:41 PM Sorry! You've given birth to a mutant! Please resume at your last World Save.
IceKatana X 08-13-2008, 09:13 PM Oooh, this will be interesting...I wonder how far the realism goes.

If it is like fable 1, a lot of things will be promised that never happen.
If the things are actually in there this time, it will be interesting to say the least.

No, there weren't alot of things 'promised' in Fable 1. There were alot of things Peter wanted to put into the game, and he made the mistake of detailing each and every one of them in a very public way.
Fable 2 has had a much longer development time, experience from Fable 1, and the power of the Xbox 360 behind it. Also, Peter hasn't promised a single thing that isn't already in the coding of the game and he's even joked about the controversy surrounding his comments prior to Fable 1's release. He's realized that he shouldn't talk about what he wants in the game because his mind will take it too far, but only talk about what's going to be in the game.
I have absolutely no doubt that Fable 2 is going to be a masterpeice. Molyneux is a genius who has the bad reputation of getting too far ahead of himself when he talks about his work. I believe everything that's been stated to be in the game will be there, and there will be plenty more that we don't know about because it hasn't been set in stone yet.
So yes, I'm buying Fable 2, the collector's edition, on launch day.

Woo! Damn right! :w00t:
Strategist 08-25-2008, 11:46 PM I'll probably be extremely busy with other games (along with real life) when this comes out, so I'll probably postpone getting it for a couple months and instead keep visiting news sites and communities to see who slept with whose wife.
Vinc3nt 08-26-2008, 03:58 AM Alright. Who's Wife can I expect to be humping in October?
Already done yours Caruso......wait are we talking about Fable here ?

Sure...you might be right, all these "features" were NOT printed on the back of the box but there were a bunch of developer diaries printed all over the web/magazines, a lot of false information given in interviews and stuff like that. It was NOT just Molyneux who overhyped the game-a lot of that stuff was also promised in the developers forums. Fable was THE reason for me to buy my first X Box and believe me-I watched the game development and the promises since the day it was called project ego. Molyneux himself added a lot of confusion and wrong information too but Im sure he cant be held responsible for ALL the crap "they" told us about Fable during its development!
Check it for yourself ;)

In the end when Fable was finally released I did not care too much that the trees were NOT growing, I was not looking for the classroom full of children, heck I even did NOT miss the possibility to lead an army into a battle but I was waaay dissapointed that the promised vast Landscapes were missing, that I was forced to stay on the path and that I finished the whole game in about 8 hours. It was still fun to play, I liked it and Im gonna get Fable2 a couple of days after release but I really dont expect it to be half as * epic "
and big as they promise this time.
Cujoe 08-26-2008, 11:32 AM dammit, i was hoping someones wife was gonna get humped. But yeah... go Fable!!
Jonny the Hutt 08-26-2008, 02:47 PM That does sound pretty fun. It will fill all of my fantasies in the world I could ever desire.
