Its weird like i say i don't care about it but i do by that i mean like i wont brag about it and it makes me mad when people do but like its what i try to do its like priority for me to get acheivements and its in my opinion a reason x box is better than ps3 (another reason x box is better than ps3 is that its not ps3) not the only reason thou and dont get me wrong i LOVE my high gamerscore..... but its not that big a deal

I'd say that it's nice to have acheivements and gamerscore, so you know that you've done something worthy of reward within a game, but playing games purely to get points? No, that's not right...

You get a nice feeling when you hear a beep, and see that 100 points or 200 points has flashed up on the screen, but to play games just to get the points isn't what 360 gaming is about...

It's about having fun, and experiencing a really good online community, and meeting new people, and the likes... :thumbsup:

I have a lot of gamerscore but I wouldnt give two tosses if it was wiped tomorrow. Heck, its more a mark of shame detailing all those hours lost to the xbox than any type of badge of honour that silly people seem to think it is.

For me gamerscore was a fun way of competing with my friends at games, but as soon as I hit 10k I stopped caring about it.

If a game is multiplatform, I will get it for the 360 for the achievements/gamerscore alone.

That way I feel like I am getting something to show for playing the game, kinda like the "kill stickers" on the sides of planes.

I took my gamerscore awful serious until literally a week ago, when I finally realised I was focusing more on damn achievements than on the story/gameplay of a game. Now I don't give two craps about it. Its fun to try and get it up (HA!) but it no longer controls the games I play or how I play them.

All the games on my list which are classed as 'achievement whore games' I never actually bought, I always borrowed them of friends and family.

I only look as gamerscore as something to look forward to for playing a game, though sometimes I will try to get some achievements.

I honestly don't care about gamerscore, not one bit. It's nice, but not really worth anything.

Achievements, I think are cool. Depending on the game *cough*Crackdown*cough*, there can be some cool achievements to pick up, which help keep interest in the game. It just doesn't help when achievements are tied to multiplayer and you pick up the game a year after it comes out, when no one plays the game anymore.

Gamer score is cool but i dont realy go out of my way to get it.

I made a statement on the forums, something about the PS3 and you said something I thought came off as fanboyish, you sent me a PM as well as friend request telling me how your better than me cause your gamerscore is higher and that you have beaten over 40 games and some other shit. I kept you on my friends list due to gamer nights and sometimes when invites need to be sent out, Animathias doesnt have everyone's gamertags from the site, as his friends list is currently full. Scuse me for being a dick and looking to keep an eye out for fellow SG gamers for gamer nights and such. Yeah im not to bothered about the achievements but it is a nice touch. I prefer to get a game and play it for what it is rather than worry about my gamerscore mmmmmk
