View Full Version : Has anyone ever heard of these Wii games?
RaiseHavok 08-24-2008, 07:55 PM If Mario Super Sluggers isn't your cup of tea, check out these three juggernauts releasing this week...
Spy Fox in Dry Cereal
Pajama Sam in Don't Fear the Dark
Freddi Fish in Kelp Seed Mystery

I would love to see the sales numbers for these games. I realize they probably don't cost much to make, but who buys these games? I would assume young children, but I doubt they will ever get shelf space in major retail chains.
Here is the IGN page for Spy Fox

The other two games don't have profiles on IGN or 1UP. Has anyone ever heard of them before?
RAGNAROCK 08-24-2008, 08:24 PM never heard of them, and I get nintendo power magazines,so they must be really lame lol
Jarrett 08-24-2008, 08:27 PM Haha. Never heard of all three. And I get Nintendo Power.
Shane86 08-24-2008, 08:28 PM Maybe they're wiiware games?

I know Helix is releasing on WiiWare this week.
SWSilentkiller 08-24-2008, 10:45 PM Are these all by the same developer? Because judging by the titles that is what it looks like.
Diortem 08-25-2008, 06:20 AM they are... it looks like someone is testing the waters with point an click adventures meant for a younger audience.... these are ancient (and I thought buried) franchises from the PC.

Yeah, it's pretty scary seeing them move over to the Wii. You know those nameless $5 games you see hanging around in the PC section of a Walmart or something? That's what these games are.
Diortem 08-25-2008, 08:39 AM I remember when they were $30.... course I remember looking for Virtual On back then. Loved that game until I played it in arcades.... but THAT is the game that should come back like that on the Wii if any!
Hungry Luma 08-25-2008, 03:12 PM I actually have heard of them. Pretty hilaroius titles.
Ploogle 08-27-2008, 02:07 PM Wow. I played those when I was like...8. Almost a decade ago. I hope they're not going to charge $50 for them...although, come to think of it, the Wiimote might be a neat interface for those young enough to still enjoy the games.
Diortem 08-27-2008, 02:15 PM kinda makes me a little hopefull for a revival of Sam & Max Hit the Road and Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle.
Chekt 08-27-2008, 07:46 PM Woah! I remember Spy Fox, Pajama Sam, and Freddi fish! Those games were awesome. Atleast that's what I thought when I was little. I haven't played any of those in forever.
codinthepocket 08-27-2008, 07:49 PM What about Ultimate Duck Hunting, and Build-A-Bear Workshop: A Friend Fur All Seasons?
You gotta love the ridiculousness...
BlackWater SunSet 08-27-2008, 09:13 PM beening that I've never heard of these games, I really want to play the Pajama Sam one. Oh the Gods will smile on us when we can once more play Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle! That was one of my very first PC Games. Such goodness. Diortem- thanks for making me feel all fuzzy inside.

Really? I thought they were brand new games...
Heh, Ploogl I noticed you included some of my mispellings of your name!
Aww Pooglen, when will you learn?
By the way, I played Nintendogs the other day and I thought, "Is Pugul's name based on the dog breed 'poodle'?
Heh, pretty clever Plooger!

HA yes yes yes. See I was a fan of the Sam and Max cartoon when I was little. I've been telling myself to go and get all the episodes on GameTap or Steam. Can not wait for the Good Old Games- Beta. But here I am posting. I never got to completely finish DOTT. It would crash alot on my Macintosh....yep that's WAY BACK. Just thinking of that makes my so happy that I don't own a Apple Comp any more. THANKS MOM! Does anyone know where these games came from? Are they someones' crazy idea or even a cartoon? They sound like they would be....hummmm?
mlazear 08-29-2008, 08:45 PM Haha, I remember Spy Fox. Good old days.
Canibal Duk 08-29-2008, 09:21 PM those are computer games for little kids, it is supposed to help them with problem solving... like the light bulb goes in the lamp... or you need to oil a mining cart before you can ride it like a roller coaster.

Lord Nacho 09-21-2008, 08:01 AM well, if little kids want somthing to plan, those are the games
SolarFlare 10-05-2008, 02:17 PM Years ago when I was a little kid I played Freddi Fish in Kelp Seed Mystery... I think I still have the disk buried in the back of a pile of old PC games. Never did throw away a computer game.
Mikeywonkonobi 10-06-2008, 08:03 AM Those are all games that I have for pc.... they were for my first ever computer..
Trust me, only a 3 year old would like something like those, all you do is point, click, and drag
:undecided: :undecided: :undecided: :undecided:
Shish Kebab 10-20-2008, 10:23 AM Just makes me think what the makers of these games are on?
