View Full Version : How Tough Is Warhawk To Get Into?
Shaha44 08-28-2008, 12:14 AM Alright, I will admit it, I have never set foot into the world as you all know as Warhawk. I have noticed that today marked the release of version 1.5, which sounds like it adds some pretty badass stuff. My problem is, as I stated earlier, that I have never played Warhawk. I have seen alot of videos of gameplay and it looks F-ing awesome!
Since I have never played, what are the chances of me getting pwned by 12 year olds and being called a n00b? I hate coming into strict multi-player games long after they have been out...It is also $30, which is right up alley. Some thoughts without the flames would be well appreciated.
Cam-Dog 08-28-2008, 12:25 AM Its not as though as it may seem and the new training mode will help quit a bit for you n00b (Im not a 12 year old though) dont worry about them yelling at you because most of them dont even have mics:thumbsup:( the one upside of there not being a mic with each ps3)
ruddypoo 08-28-2008, 12:38 AM The ground game is very intuitive for someone who is a veteran shooter, and you'll slip right in. Even if you're not one like me, the learning curve is not steep at all.
Operating the aircraft may take a bit of getting used to, and as Camdog said, now with the training you don't have to waste time trying to figure stuff out, the tutorial is very good.
With the update there's actually never been a better time for a newbie to get into Warhawk. And i highly recommend it, the gameplay is awesome and it's very rewarding when you get it right.
Paradigm13 08-28-2008, 12:38 AM I'd echo what CamDog said. I only play it casually and when I do get on its not like I'm terribly overmatched. The game balances all aspects pretty well, so you can get by on land (probably the most familiar), on wheels (next in line), or in the air (when you get used to it). All in all, a pretty unique and enjoyable package that's really not that tough to break into.
NoneOfYourBusiness 08-28-2008, 01:29 AM The only thing I with they would do is put missles on the radar. It doesnt matter how good you dodge if your not dodging the right direction
darkwonders 08-28-2008, 07:32 AM They have a training mode, so you can practice for a while to get the hang of the controls. I went through them myself to brush up on my skills... plus the trophies are a nice incentive as well
MightyMutt 08-28-2008, 07:39 AM Nice to know guys, I want to pick this up soon.
PopTrogdor 08-28-2008, 09:26 AM It's as easy as getting into a promiscuous girls pants. Also, headsets are separate so 12 year olds cant afford them thank ****.
photomaster94 08-28-2008, 11:29 AM n00b servers and the new training mode help. you know if you complete them you get a trophy?!?!?!?!
Killgraft 08-28-2008, 11:58 AM It's as easy as getting into a promiscuous girls pants.
So you're still trying to get into Warhawk then, eh?
nathanhale 08-28-2008, 01:00 PM Yea go noob servers and training mode a bit and that should see you right!
Shaha44 08-29-2008, 12:12 AM Well gentlemen, thanks for the responses. I went to Best Buy today before work and purchased Warhawk. I got it for $5.23, I had $25 if gift certificates. I played through the training and the game is sweet! I am not that good at the flight controls yet, but the game is really fun. Currently working on the "Bandwidth Donor Trophy" <--------- *cough cough* trophy whore!
blaclotus 08-29-2008, 10:52 AM I suck at that game and still enjoy playing it. It is really fun.
snclr 08-29-2008, 12:38 PM It's really easy to get into to, ecspecially after the update because of the training. I've almost finished the training missions and i'm loving it!
