You might have noticed that we did a little upgrade on the comments system recently on the main SG blog, letting you reply to each other's comments in threads and use avatars.

Except nobody is using avatars, and they should be, because otherwise it looks rather sad and bare. Methinks it's because people don't really know how.

The answer is Gravatar (or Globally Recognised Avatars...see what they did there?). Gravatar is a site that you sign...

Google, whether you like them or not, are here to stay. They've pretty much 'become' the internet over the past few years, leading the charge with all sorts of new technologies (or buying them up if someone's beaten them to it) and lately I've realised that their dominance of the internet is no bad thing. If anything, I'm kinda thankful for all the stuff they do, because it's all genius. Well, with the exception of Lively by Google, anyway....

Hello SGC, it's been a while.

It's been a hell of a ride since I last wrote in this here forum blog; since July I've been to Ireland twice, I've started university, I've began Twittering (that's yamstersg, by the way; I hardly blog about games) and I've bought hardly any games because, like everyone else, I've been feeling the strain of the economic downtown and my student loan has barely covered my train fares for each month. What's more, with the aforementioned downtown, job pickings...

Those of you who have had a read of my Burnout Paradise Cagney update impressions will have noted that I used some scrawled A4 notes to round off the article, namely by printing "THIS IS AWESOME!!" in the sketchy mess I like to call my handwriting.
