Well, GT5 was an option that was thought about, but the reason FMS3 was chosen was because of the features it currently has (painting, video recording, image capturing, decal making, storefront, ETC) because it helps us mod the game's look and feel better for our needs.
This is not saying there will not be a GT5 league, is just something that at the moment is not much of a priority seeing as how A) we have no clue what is in the game and B) we have to get the Forza side of things up and running first.
If anyone wants to step up and put in the work to run a GT5 league, when the game comes out, they have my approval. Like djdsf mentioned, we’re using Forza because it’s simply the only racing game that allows us the freedom to paint our own cars and personalize the league with that Sarcastic edge we all love.
Well the game has been pomoted with extensive online features and I'd take organising a league for some online friends over boring homework and history essays any day.
I'll get back to you nearer the time (it's been scheduled in the UK for JUne 2010) and see what I can do.

I hate everyone equally, except fanboys, I hate them more.
They could release it now. The reason it was held back was beause people complained about the damage at gamescom so they're changing it. These are the biggest perfectionists in gaming history we're talking about here!
