So then, what happens when everyone who wants a Wii has one? That’s when I think we’re going to see some trouble for Nintendo unless they actually start making more games more often. Or.. they could release a new system, but I have a hard time believing “casual” gamers will care to get a new Wii when they already have one.
i remember reading this before did you type out your own comment from the comment section again? Though tonyadams is right, after everyone gets a wii i doubt the casual gamers will want a brand new wii hopefully then nintendo will realise who their real fans are and give us what they want if said people are still fans when the casual gamers left, for nintendo's sake i hope so.

Honestly, I think they are probably looking at what to do next already... but they can relax on when they release a new machine.

In the meantime, you are not saying something I disagree with. I want a new IP too... I just dont think running the old ones which still sell like made is a bad thing to do as well. I would kinda like both, to be honest.

if they were to make a brand new game i wouldn't mind with all the same old. Heck when they first annoced super mario galaxy 2 i was excited to hear it was returning though i'm annoyed the new zelda's another cell shaded turd and not like twilight princess which is clearly better then windwaker or phantom hourglass.

and finnaly i can't commit on metroid...i've never played one. Super smash bros brawl was ok but it was ruined by the intial duel disc layer problem which REALLY REALLY pissed me of.

All good points... almost.

1) Im actually not hyped at all for Mario Galaxy 2... that game was over-rated if you want my rather honest opinion.
2) maybe you'll get your Zelda next year... I just watched the new GTTV this morning, and right now, they are working Motion + into the next Wii zelda title... it MIGHT be there next year, but it's not in stone yet.
3) If you can get yourself into a Wii (I thought you sold yours), you have some homework.... Super Metroid on VC. This is the game that both GBA games emulate the style of... as well as the style Castlevania imitates these days. It will give you an idea of what Other M might offer (with updates, obviously).

No. I don't like selling consoles as i feel stupid if i sell one and then it starts getting good games, cool to hear about a new zelda. The only reason i bought one was for SSBB but i might try and get my hands on some nintendo points so i can buy super metroid and castlevania on the wii shop thanks for the pointers.

Go for it! I dont know how Castlevania Rebirth is, though... but Super Metroid is easily the best game of the SNES era... and well worth the money. (I have the cart and rebought it on VC to play again.)

If you like it, look forward to Other M. I also reccomend Prime Trilogy, but with a touch of caution... do NOT use the default controls. Push it to advanced and start from there for your settings. Sensitivity becomes ideal that way.

EDIT: Actually as I think about it, the castlevania games you find on there wont reflect on what I mean... they are actually too old. Try if you like, but you really need to play something that came out after Symphony of the Night to get the same kind of gameplay... and I recommend a DS title for it... Dawn of Sorrow.

Cool. To be honest SMG 2 and the new metroid may very well be my new reason to play my wii. I wanna get my hands on one of those things so you can plug two consoles graphic thingys into the TV at the same time as i hate having to unplug my PS3 and plug in my wii and vice versa it's annoying!

I like what nintendo's doing which i reckon is their real plan, trick sony and microsoft into going into a motion controller war and then going back to making real games while sony and microsoft crash and burn.

LMAO! That would be the move of a general, not a mad scientist. I think we will see them pull out something else no one saw coming at all next time. For better or worse, I cant wait.

And Im also hyped for the new Metroid... it may not be my only reason, but it is my BIG one (right now, my reason as we speak is World of Goo... almost finished that puppy)

well that is my point. Which was that sony and MS were doomed to begin with as they didn't know they were against a true mastermind. Underestimating nintendo, shame as if i'm right it means another two companies destroyed.

Maybe underestimating is a bad idea... but I dont think they are faking anyone out. They just had a zany idea that worked like hell. It will happen again, Im sure... and I would take bets they will be trying another zany idea next machine, too.
