TBH: The graphics are kinda "meh" so far. I mean, they're great and all, but no where NEAR face melting. I've got everything set as high as it goes, and it's not blowin' my mind. HOWEVER, the gameplay itself is awesome. I'm really digging this game. In fact, I just played it for 5 hours straight, and want more.
be prepared for another 25 hours.
then another 30 on your next character.
then another 40 on the character you made to just explore the random planets.
At least there are no elevators in mass effect 2, it just teleports you to the destination. I can say it 'cause I played it.

does the texture resolution still "fade" in? cause one thing that annoyed me in mass effect 1 was that even after i came out of the elevator it still took about 15 seconds for the textures to load fully, because when i came out of the elevator, they where incredibly blury.
Just be glad your playing it on the PC. Hands down the best version.
My only beef with the game is that not every class/ability/power is all that useful. A sniper for example is pretty much as waste of time. Still a really great game.

maybe it is just my PC though..
It wasn't just your PC. That happened to me on 360 as well.

Doesn't happen to me. Everything works and looks perfect.
Also, I take back my comment on the graphics. This game DOES look good.
