They said "alright. no problem. we'll fix 'ANYTHING ELSE' wrong with it.
I got it back today...
they replaced my mangled and bent casing where I DROPPED IT, replaced the keyboard with the 2 missing keys I dropped a video camera onto, AND replaced my entire top case because it wasn't closing tightly.
Now, I know you guys are PC fanatics, but I don't have an extended warranty and none of this cost me a thing.
Tell me who else takes care of their customers like that?
Doesn't the rediculous price you paid for it constitute extended warranty?
The 2 out of warranty iPhone replacements they have given me would agree with their customer service.
yeah last year my dad dropped my new ipod, 1 week old, on the ground and the screen shattered. they replaced it with a brand new shiny one!!! but still not buying a mac
I used macs for 2 years for graphic design they took forever to render a 1 minute long short video and photoshop was pretty good. These were the newest macs 2 years ago so they were the Intel CPU ones. The GUI was decent and could never seem to install photoshop the right way. It felt to me like apple was holding your hand the entire time you used their computer. They are good computers for photos, video "rendering", music, and internet browsing. I see the appeal of macs like I said I saw people convert to macs once they started using them but they seemed to be having alot of problems that were hard to fix. I dont like the fact that apple charges for service packs ie. snow leopard. Was that an intelligent enough answer for you?
intelligent enough to show that you've used them before, but i have a hard time believing they took that long to render a 1 minute video unless something was wrong with them. i have a 4 year old Macbook Pro and it renders just fine. it also depends on how many filters or effects you have on the video, and also what type.
Im sure other stuff was slowing the system down. Macs are great if you have the money and yea they might replace a broken piece or two. The only reason they would is because you gave them an extra grand for a system that tech wise would cost half. Like i've posted before, my ipod screen is cracked I went to the apple store to see if there was anything they can do since I was still covered by warranty and it was only 4 months since I bought it. They said they couldnt do anything and it would cost $150 for a screen when you can do it yourself for $40.
