I still dont get how people are looking at this and saying "good". Even the test audience screenings apparently went amazingly well. This looks horrible to me.
The trailer does make movie look pretty badass. On the IGN rewind the creator of the games seemed pretty happy with the movie so far, so that's a good sign.
I guess it was my fault for not checking if I spelt it correctly. :P

Anyways, a trailer's aim is to show films in a good way. Just look at those crappy comedies for example, you thought they were good because the trailer showed all the best bits.
I'm not saying the film will be crap but I'm only taking what I see light-heartedly until I see some reviews for the film.

Yeah, I don't know yet...I'm not a fan of Jake G, I've never played the games, and the movie just looks like another Bruckheimer explosion-fest.
And I still don't see the need for everyone to speak in watered-down British accents. Does it really add anything to the movie? I'd be much more impressed with some less Westernized accents. You know, maybe middle-eastern...just an idea.

Everything about the teaser trailer looked really cool...except for Jake Gyllenhaal...who looked foolish and out of place. Don't get me wrong, I still think Gyllenhaal is a good actor, but I just don't see him as The Prince. Even with the obviously worked on slight resemblance, he's a short, more stocky than lean dude trying to play what should be someone I can actually believe has a lot of acrobatic ability and dexterity.
Plus, from what I am hearing, it IS more of a spectacle than a movie, just like the later Pirate movies.
I'll reserve judgment for after I have seen it. I'll just go to the theater with my fingers crossed.
I dunno...on one hand, Bruckheimer could make the first movie in what is bound to be a trilogy amazing like Pirates 1...or it could be a fail like Pirates 2 and 3.
I'll see it anyway for the same reason why I see the Harry Potter movies knowing they'll never be as good as the source material...'cause I'm a nerd. The trailer looks good, methinks, and it seems to have that subtle comedy that Pirates had, so I think it's a win in my book until I waste my money.
But no video game movie pitch will EVER be as good as this one...
I was so sad when I saw what day this was posted on...
And speaking of movies based on other things...I'm psyched for this one

Wrong actor. When there are emotional scenes his voice breaks out of character. Trailer most likely is another one of the show all the good stuff and leave the walking for the viewers to enjoy in the theater. I feel like I have already watched it, yet I haven't. Dialog is trying to be appealing but it's just college humor with proper grammar. The set pieces are mediocre. Princesses voice is monotone and irritating. Way to ruin all the things I wouldn't have cared about anyway. But the costumes are nice.
