COD4 Tournament

Hi, im new to the SG community but have been a member of GCN since the beginning. I am trying to start a COD4 tournament and we need more teams. If you havent already done so please go reply to this thread if you are interested in participating. If your not a GCN community member just reply here. I will be setting up a web page to offically sign up on if we get enough interest. Thanks - Z

Over the last few weeks we have been kicking around the idea of doing a tournament for Call of Duty 4. Well today is the day that registration can begin. Hopefully we can get enough people interested to make it fun. The rules are posted on the front page of the site in the news section. They will be updated as more things come up that I haven’t covered. The site is still in beta so feel free to email me at zulfikar@marriedgamer.com for any suggestions or complaints. The site is pretty bare bones but it will do what I want it to do which is basically give everyone a place to go to organize teams and check results. Currently the planned start date is the week of March 2nd, 2008. If all goes well I hope to use this site as a permanent tournament tool for future events hosted by Married Gamer. Below is a short set of instructions on how to get registered and create teams.

Registration:

1. Go to www.weekendgamerz.net
2. In the upper right hand corner of the home page click on the register link.
3. Fill out at least the required information section. Please use your Xbox Live gamertag as your username so if I need to contact you I will know how.
4. Click the register button at the bottom of the page.
5. Assuming you filled everything out correctly you will now have a www.weekendgamerz.net username and password.

Login:

1. Go to www.weekendgamerz.net
2. Assuming you have created an account there are two ways to log in. On the right hand side of the top of the page there is a “you are not logged in > login” link. Also on the home page if you are not logged in, on the left side of the screen you can use the control panel to login area.
3. Enter your Username (Gamertag) and password.

Join/Create Teams:
1. Once all of your team has registered on the site, choose a captain, then the captain should message me (using the sites messaging system, which is on the right hand side of the page) with the following information; team name, team captain, 3 team members
2. I will then register your team and send you a conformation message and ask you to double check the setup of your team.

Please use this thread to organize teams within the sarcastic gamer community. If you are a member of the Gamercast community there is also a thread in that forum. Prizes for the tournament will be announced once the teams are set and battle has begun.

I would just like to point out there is a major site like the one your talking about on the web.

Prize for winning is money and thousands of people enter it.

I'm tempted to check your tournament out, it seems pretty sweet.
