View Poll Results: Are you experiencing problems with your Xbox 360 controller. (note what typ
A while back, I needed a second Xbox 360 controller, so I bought one of the sleek black ones. This one soon became my controller of choice, simply because of the color. Sadly, a problem has recently appeared with my joystick. Now I didn’t think much of it until I was in a game with two other people with almost the exact problem.
Those are odds you can put money on.
Follow the jump for the details.
The problem with the controller is that if I push the joystick to a certain position, the movement will stick until I push in a different direction. It’s not especially obtrusive in many games, but in certain ones like GTA IV, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Mine sticks to the left, and of the two people who I’ve discussed these problems with, one sticks to the left, and one sticks forward.
So of course, I thought I would ask the community if they’ve run into this problem. Three people in the same room with similar problems seems a bit to coincidental to me.
Re: Are you having problems with your 360 controller?
I noticed it too with my non elite wireless controller. I never noticed it until I played GTA 4. It gets stuck to the left.

Re: Are you having problems with your 360 controller?
I've had it happen with two different non-elite wirless controllers. I didn't notice that it was even happening with my second controller until I played GTA4, where it really stuck out. And both times it was stuck going forward.
Re: Are you having problems with your 360 controller?
yeah this happens to me sometimes but not always. I too have noticed it in GTA 4. I have an Elite and I really only have noticed it with GTA . I cant think of it happening any other time than with GTA.
oh and mine moves left with out touching the stick
Re: Are you having problems with your 360 controller?
One of my controllers thumbsticks sticks slightly to the right. It has its' full range of motion but won't re-center itself properly. Usually My guy/vehicle/etc. is in a slow constant right hand turn. I have to re-adjust it slightly to allow it to sit back on the original center point. I no longer use it for general gaming, but did find the slight movement helpful for lining up shots in golf/pool games and the like. Honestly though I'm pretty sure the controller wasn't originally like that and picked up the ailment through simple over-use.
